The program offers youth the opportunity to see and participate in performances both in their own schools and in theatres around the city. In 1990 over 66,000 children attended a Fringe event through the YEP Program. The YEP program's Fringe Family Days, enable children of all ages and their families to become involved in an exciting range of arts activities at an 'affordable price each Saturday during the Fringe. Aboriginal people are involved at all levels of decision making within the Fringe organisation and we are pleased that as a result the 1992 Program has a strong Aboriginal component. Two major exhibitions are being shown at the Lion Arts Centre, the Aboriginal & Islander Dance Theatre will be appearing at the lion Theatre, a new play by Eva Johnson will be presented by Junction Theatre, an impressive line·up of Aboriginal performers will appear ~e Fringe Club and Port on the Fringe will feature five big weekends of Aboriginal & Islander music throughout the festival.
