CHINA EXHIBITION ON SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION 201516-17-18 September 2015

• To identify potentialities for local development and boost national, regional and interregional synergies on science, technology and innovation.

• To promote the scientific and innovative cooperation between China and the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean through the generation of spaces of dialogue that allows identifying common interests and the realization of multilateral research and innovative projects.

• To strengthen and articulate capacities of the science and technology entities of the assistant countries, through the exchange of experiences and knowledge transfer.

• To achieve some closer relations between industrial sectors of the CELAC region and Chinese industries.

• To determine possible options of business between private industries.

Also, there will be a working table called science, technology and innovation for the industrial sector, with the purpose of having public and private companies from the region able to collaborate to the dialogue and to identify new ways for the developing the sector. Below is a description of the Chinese companies that will take part in the exposition:

The efforts made by the Chinese Government to promote the inclusion of activities of science and innovation within the priorities of companies have led many of its industries to be world leaders in production and exportation of technological products, developing this way the Chinese productive and managerial sector.

China has showed interest in cooperating with Latin America and working together on multilateral linking initiatives; this is why an exhibition of scientific and technologic innovation will be held by request of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People´s Republic of China (MOST) and it will be developed in collaboration with Chinese companies and institutions that lead technological development. It will be the perfect place to get a peek of technological improvements that the People’s Republic of China has experienced in previous years, as well as the latest Chinese technological advances in the region.

This event is free for and will take place through September 16th -18th at UNASUR headquarters (located at Mitad del Mundo, Quito-Ecuador). This exhibition counts with support and financing of MOST and the objectives are following:

With the general purpose of reinforcing the overall environment for technology innovation and promoting high-tech industrialization, Torch Center seeks to achieve four major objectives by cooperating with other pertinent authorities at central and local levels.

CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd.

The product portfolio of CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd. is composed of high-speed train, urban metro vehicle, rail passenger coaches, intercity and regional EMU, modern trams, monorail vehicle and DMU, which have realized serialization. Founded in 1881, CRRC Tangshan Co., Ltd. is the cradle of the China's locomotive vehicles. As a leading enterprise of the rail transportation equipment in China, it mainly engages in development of high-speed multiple units, intercity multiple units, urban rail cars, low- and medium-speed passenger coaches, etc.

CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd.

Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd. (CRRC ), formerly known as the Changchun Car Company，was founded in 1954 as a national key project during the “First 5-Year Plan” period. CRRC was restructured into a joint-stock company in 2002. It has more than 18,000 employees, and covers an area of 4.95 million square meters.

CRRC is mainly engaged in the development, production and maintenance of high-speed Electric Multiple Unit (EMU), passenger trains, urban mass transit vehicles and other products. Now CRRC is capable of producing 1000 high-speed EMU trains, 1200 urban mass transit vehicles, 500 passenger trains and 6000 bogies per year. Changchun Cedar Electronics Technology Co., Ltd.

China Solid State Lighting Alliance

China Solid State Lighting Alliance (CSA) was established in 2004 as a new type of organization offering all-dimensional and innovative services for the LED and other strategic emerging industries in China. Members of CSA have grown from 46 at the beginning to 530 at present and the output value of the members account for 70% of that of China’s LED industry in 2014. Since its establishment, CSA has always upheld the principle of cooperation, innovation and win-win development, committed to supporting government policy, creating favorable environment for industrial development and promoting the integration of innovative resources.

National Engineering Laboratory for Digital TV (Beijing)

Approved by the National Development and Reform Commission, the National Engineering Laboratory for Digital TV (Beijing) (DTVNEL) was established in December, 2009. It is a state level research platform of radio and television broadcasting. DTVNEL is co-sponsored by a number of first-class R&D institutions and manufacturers specialized in digital television standards, transmitting front-end, chips, terminal terminals as well as testing.

Four countries have signed governmental cooperation agreements with China, covering a population of more than 200 million. There are five governments signed cooperation agreements with Chinese companies, covering a population of more than 160 million. We have visited and communicated with many countries, covering a population of more than 300 million.

Shandong Academy of Sciences Laser Research Institute

Laser gas detector is independently developed and by the Institute of Laser Research in Shandong Academy of Sciences. Based on internationally advanced optoelectronic technology, it is a high-precision detection instrument designed in accordance with the principle of absorption of laser with specific wavelengths by different gases. The instrument can detect gas concentration of methane, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, acetylene, ethylene, oxygen, ammonia and other gases, which can be displayed and stored in the field. At the same time, the instrument possesses the function of over-limit alarming. The detector is an intrinsically safe intelligent monitoring instrument, capable of continuous online detection in harsh conditions in coal mines, chemical plants, oil and gas storage and transportation and other industries. Apart from such advantages as stability, high sensitivity and long operating life, the instrument has the function of real-time display of temperature and humidity, and can also be integrated with pressure and other test functions according to the needs.

XUNDA Science & Technology Group Co. Ltd.

Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences

Founded in 1956, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences (CAAMS) was transformed into a tech-based enterprise directly under the leadership of central government in 1999. It became a subsidiary of SINOMACH in 2009. It is a modern high-tech manufacturing group with self-innovation as the drive and high-end products manufacturing as the main business, integrating science, industry and trade. Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences

Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences (CATAS) was established in 1954. It is a state-level agricultural research institution affiliated to the Ministry of Agriculture. Chinese-Brazilian Climate Change Investigation Centre and Innovation of Energetic Technology

China-Brazil Center for Climate Change and Energy Technology Innovation is a platform for the innovative cooperation between Tsinghua University and Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Since established in 2010, the Center has organized dozens of seminars in the field of new energy technology, climate change, green economy and technology transfer, and science park planning and management; has promoted the technology transfer of lipase-catalyzed biodiesel and solar projects. It has effectively promoted the cooperation between the two countries in these fields.

MCC Overseas Ltd.

MCC Overseas LTD. was the subsidiary company wholly owned by Metallurgical Corporation Of China LTD(hereinafter referred as to MCC), one of the World Top 500 companies.
