It called Grand Prix. From 1910 to 1930 were five european races witch called Grandes Epreuves. After world war II. was Formula A renamed on Formula 1. Some of races were after world war II. but first world championship was in 1950 in Great Britain. First world champion was in 1950 Giuseppe Farina from Italy.
