The inception of each model starts with a realistic conversation regarding what the British rider needs from their bike. For example some of our Longcliffe road range offer mud guard clearance for our unpredictable British weather, excellent choice of strong rims to combat our well used roads and sealed bearing hubs from £800 upwards to keep you riding regardless of how many salty puddles you glide through. We combine these practical elements and blend them with flair to deliver you the 2015 Forme range.

From our office in Derbyshire we are just a short ride away from the Peak District. Both the dark and white peak areas of the Peak District offer huge diversity and we continue to take our inspiration from some of the best riding scenery in the world.

Our passion for riding in the peak district has been displayed on each of our models hence the name selections such as Longcliffe, one of our infamous interval climbs, or Alport taken from Alport heights, the first hill from the south of the peak district over 1000ft.

CARBONAxe Edge Sport 2.0 LE

The Axe Edge 2.0 LE is your first step into the world of carbon. Carbon has many varied uses and sometimes people are misled into thinking you only buy carbon bikes to save weight. Usually entry level carbon bikes are designed for comfort over weight saving purposes, carbon frames can absorb some of the roads vibrations allowing you to stay in the saddle for longer. The Axe Edge 2.0 LE has been built to a price point but the whole spec has been constructed around using a high quality carbon frame set. Tapered head tube for stiffer steering and BB30 offers progressive power transfer which is incredible at this price point. The fork even has full carbon steerer tube for additional weight saving.

ALLOYIdeal for any road endurance ride the Longcliffe series offers both race performance and the perfect basis for training, fitness and commuting with comfort at the forefront of our minds.

Our compact frames feature slightly shorter top tubes and longer head tubes. Aluminium 6061 is considered one of the most versatile materials for a cyclist however this is only applicable if the appropriate geometry and material is applied, the 2015 Longcliffe series was seen for the first time to have a full matching Shimano groupset fitted. Full groupsets offer optimum gear shifting and brake performace available.

Snappy acceleration with aggressive yet comfortable handling and sufficient clearance for particularly muddy days. We achieve the best possible climbing characteristics using a minimum of stack with the short tapered head tube to maintain pressure on the front wheel even on the steepest climbs.

Cyclo-cross is considered to be one of the toughest genres of the sport. When faced with steep muddy inclines, sharp corners or step runs the Calver series is designed to meet your demands. In addition to frame performance there are a number of additional details that cannot be neglected by any serious cyclo-cross rider. We have implemented a number of unique designs.

Cyclo-cross guarantees optimum mud clearance and the smoothest braking and shifting performance possible. Following a year of product testing and feedback from 2 Great Britain team riders we have injected every ounce of experience towards, what we believe to be, the most efficient and practical cyclo-cross race bikes on the market.

The Calver series is Forme’s cyclo-cross offering. For the first time they have complete Shimano groupsets with Shimano canti’s/disc brakes. The all new ‘multi route’ Trojan from Forme. All barriers are unlocked when riding this machine allowing you to ride in comfort on variable terrains without losing speed. The lightweight alloy frame features relaxed geometry with clearance for up to 700x40c tyres. Pannier rack mounts and plenty of mud guard clearance gives you the option of turning it into a classic touring bike. Disc brakes are fitted so you can adapt to a variety of weather conditions and not lose confidence in your stopping power.

The Winster range has been assembled with the commuter in mind. If you ride predominately from A to B on tarmac but not quite ready for a drop bar road bike then the Winster ticks all the boxes.

The light weight alloy frames all have the capacity for mud guards and pannier racks so you can equip your Winster as an all weather rush hour machine. Internal headset and oversized bar stem combo allow you to chop and change your riding position to suit whether you want to be sporty or relaxed. The bikes come in a sporty set up but you may want to ask your Forme dealership to accommodate your style.
