COACHELLA, CA – (January 20, 2016) – Spotlight 29 Casino is proud to bring back one of the longest-‐running Mexican regional music acts of all time, Los Tigres del Norte, on Friday, April 8 at 8 p.m. in the Spotlight Showroom. Spotlight 29 Casino’s Spotlight Showroom offers the premier entertainment experience in the Coachella Valley. The band, together since the ‘60s, features the Hernández brothers, Jorge, Hernán, Eduardo and Luis along with their cousin Óscar Lara. They turned norteño music into an international genre, singing songs about life and love, as well as touching on political and social issues such as immigration and drugs. Los Tigres del Norte have won six Grammy Awards and six Latin Grammy Awards and sold over 37 million records. With the success of their latest album Realidades, they have now tied for the most top 10 Latin albums ever with a total of 23. In all, they have 22 number one albums and more than 50 number one singles. Last year Los Tigres del Norte was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a first for a norteño band.
