1 Internet connection

To download the Reuters market data, which are provided by FINISS over the internet, there are differentSAP components which must be defined. For the technical settings, SAPHTTP is used fort the internetaccess. For the application, there are some Stepps in the customizing to do.

2 Configuration

2.1 Technical datafeed configuration in the Customizing

For the internet access, SAPHTTP is used. The technical details of this componente are defined in the note164203.

For the datafeed configuration, the following steps must be done in the customizing:

2.1.1 Define datafeed name

There can be different data providers defined in this menu.

2.1.2 Define RFC-Destinationen

The application needs a RFC Call to SAPHTTP eg SAPHTTPA fort he access. These RFC connections

must be defined as TCP/IP connections. This connection is generated automatically ( pls see note 164203 ).

2.1.3 Assign Datafeed RFC-Destinationen

Normally, the internet access is done from the application server or the frontend of the SAP system, where

the user is connected to.The default settings fort his look like this:

2.1.4 Define Proxy-configuration

For the internet access, in some cases there must be a proxy defined. If you don`t need a proxy user, you

must leave the fields blank.

2.1.5 Define Internet-settings for WEB access

In this menu, the full URL, where the HTML data file is stored, must be defined. The username and

password are provided from the hosting partner ( Reuters or FINISS ). You can test the access in differentsteps ( pls see section test programms ).

you can test the fo l lowing set t ing:

Please use these settings only for the first tests. You can get a 4 weeks free test account, just send an emailto [email protected] the required package (ECB, BOC, FBNY..)

There is a known bug, that the password is not fully deleted (only by overwriting the entry).

Mark the password field and delete the entry, do this 5 times!

After this, check the table VTB_DFDEST, the fields should be empty:

2.1.6 Tests for fault finding

If there are problems with the market data access, you can test different steps:

Test access to the FINISS WEB farm:

Open a web browser with the URL provided ba FINISS

http://www.finiss.de/refinery/do/portfolio/download?portfolioId=xxxx

You will be asked for a username and password ( provided by FINISS )

If the login is ok, you will see the data file. If you get an error ( access denied ), please contact FINISS for the

account details (email to [email protected])

If you see this result, the configuration outside the SAP system is ok.

2.1.6.1 Test of the RFC-Destinationen configuration

The next test checkst he connection to SAPHTTP and the correct configuration. It starts the programRSHTTP05 using the transaction SE38.

The output should look like this. If there are problems, pls look at note 164203.

2.1.6.2 Test of http_GET

With the report RSHTTP20, the market data download with SAPHTTP is tested. You mus t use the logindetai ls from FINISS for this test:

Customizing of the application

To upload the market data into the SAP system, the following customizing steps must be done:

2.1.7 Create translation table using R/3 master data

With this action, the currency definitions from the SAP master data are stored in the currency tables.

Use Name = FINISS and Data sourc e = IDN_SELECTFEED in the tab d atafeed as stand ardsource!

2.1.8 Define currencies

Now the currency pairs must be mapped with the Reuters RIC codes (list provided by FINISS)
