Are you one of the younger generations who wish to work in aviation world? It has no doubt that airline companies are the aircrafts consumers, not the aircraft-maker. What kinds of employees do the airline companies need? They must have required the expert workers of aircrafts maintenance, the skillful company staff, and the competent ground handling personnel in airport. The skilled labors are found in the students who have passed Diploma I, II, III and S-1 degree. The experts in aviation can be achieved through diploma study program in Aeronautics trained to maintain the aircrafts, air transportation management program prepared to be airlines and airport staff, and flight attendant program tutored to serve the passengers in the aircraft, and ground-handling program lectured to give the services in the ground/airport. All of these study programs are available in STTKD (Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Kedirgantaraan located on Jl. Parangtritis km.4,5 Yogyakarta.

PROFILE College of Aviation Technology

Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Kedirgantaraan Yogyakarta

I. Founding Background

One of the sections in Undang-Undang Dasar 1945 stated that Education is a must and is needed for all Indonesian Citizens. Related to this vision, the effort of establishing the education is a form of realization to educate the intellectual citizens. In compliance with the development of science and technology, the development in aviation also influences the aviation field in Indonesia. National development in aviation drives the increasing number of service and goods related to aviation, such as aviation equipment manufacturing industry, aviation fleet development, maintenance service industry, airport management, cargo industry, either public service or military service. To be succeed in developing the program, aviation industry needs superior human resources which are skillful, qualified, and certified holding several different degrees such as Ahli Pratama (First Diploma Degree), Ahli Muda (Second Diploma Degree), Ahli Madya (Diploma Degree), and Sarjana (Bachelor Degree). Yogyakarta has been known as a city full of historical struggle, culture, tourism destinations, and especially known as a city of students. (ex-Governor of Air Force Academy in 1994), under the supervision of Yayasan Citra Dirgantara (Citra Dirgantara Foundation), is expected to be able to empower the existed science and technology, to give an opportunity to the young professional candidates in improving their quality in aviation.
