UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE FOREST SERVICE UMPQUA NATIONAL FOREST Roseburg, OR ORDER NO. 06-15-03-20-424 EMERGENCY FIRE AREA CLOSURE Pursuant to 16 USC§ 551 and 36 CFR § 261.50 (a) and (b), the following acts are prohibited upon general forest areas within the Umpqua National Forest as described below and shown in Exhibit A. This Order will be effective beginning September 28, 2020 at 12:00 Noon and ending December 15, 2020 unless rescinded sooner. PROIDBITIONS: 1. Being upon a closed road. [36 CFR § 261.54 (e)] 2. Going into or being upon a closed area. [36 CFR § 261.52 (e)] 3. Being upon a closed trail. [36 CFR § 261.55(a)] Closure is described as an area starting at the point where the Umpqua National Forest boundary intersects State Highway 230 in section 26, T. 28 S., R. 5 W., and continuing in a northeast direction along the State Highway 230 to the junction of State Highway 138, then continuing south and east along State Highway 138 to the forest boundary, then continuing northeasterly along the Umpqua National Forest boundary to the junction of the forest boundary and trail 1414, then continuing northwest along trail 1414 to the junction with trail 1412A, then northwest along 1412A to the junction with trail 1412, then northwest along trail 1412 to Forest Road 60-958, then southwesterly along Forest Road 60-958 to Forest Road 60, then southwest along Forest Road 60 to the junction of State Highway 138, then westerly along State Highway 138 to Forest Road 4785, then southwest along Forest Road 4785 to the junction of the Forest Road 4786, then generally south along Forest Road 4786 to the junction of Forest Road 3703, then southwest along Forest Road 3703 to the Umpqua National Forest boundary, then southeast along the Umpqua National Forest boundary to the point of origin at the junction of the forest boundary and State Highway 230. The forest routes listed above that bound the closure area and all Forest Service lands, roads, and trails within the described closure are hereby made part of this closure order. EXEMPTIONS: Pursuant to 36 CFR § 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this order: 1. Persons with a permit specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission. 2. Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of any organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty. This prohibition is in addition to the general prohibitions in 36 C.F.R. Part 261, Subpart A. Executed in Roseburg, Oregon this 27 th day of September 2020.
