SUPER MANUAL | FOREMAN TRAINING Page 1 of 1 FOREMAN TRAINING | SUPER MANUAL PURPOSE The purpose of this manual is to serve as a guideline/resource for Superintendents to help their Foremen before, during, and after they attend Foreman Training. LEARNING OBJECTIVES Provide support and reinforce understanding/application of the following: Navigating the Foreman Website Utilizing available support departments Applying Foreman training content and resources Referencing Quality and Safety resources TRAINING GUIDELINES USE THE FOREMAN TRAINING MANUAL PRESENTATION THROUGHOUT DEVELOPMENT! Before Training Familiarize yourself with the Foreman Website and content Understand the Foreman role and responsibilities Review available technical learning tools (Tool Box) and forms/scripts (Resource Index) Inquire about leadership challenges your Foreman faces and brainstorm ways to overcome them Review the importance of iPads applications (PlanGrid, Egnyte, etc.) and how to us them effectively Discuss your Foreman’s career aspirations in order to enhance their development! During Training Provide guidance, set expectations and instill excitement Check-in with your Foreman and inquire about what they’ve learned, questions/concerns they may have, etc. Try and not overload your Foreman with project-related calls/emails while in training After Training Reinforce expectations – this is the best time to develop Foremen! Remind Foremen how to access training resources (scripts, guides, etc.) Empower your Foremen to take ownership of their assigned scope Allow more opportunities for leadership (i.e. leading weekly Tool Box Talks) Discuss opportunities to help Clear the Path (i.e. PlanGrid Issue Stamps) Discuss your Foreman’s career aspirations regularly
