What is the Common Core? 1. the common core is a set of
standards that intends for students to advance at a consistent pace
so that at the end of their senior year they have common skills and
knowledge regardless of where they studied or who their teacher
was.
Slide 4
In addition 2. It is intended to ensure that all students are
career and/or college ready by they end of their secondary
education.
-----------------------------------------------O---------------------------------------------
Teach to inspire, college or careers will come naturally
Slide 5
Two News The bad one: Whether we agree or not with the Common
Core Standards and all they entail, they are part of our current
reality and will be for the foreseeable future.
Slide 6
Two News The good one: ESL and LOTE teachers have been applying
the fundamental elements of the Common Core to our classrooms
because they are at the core of our Standards as well.
