water treatment expansionat Indian refinery As part of an expansion programme of a refinery owned bythe Indian Oil Corp Ltd (IOCL) in Mathura, India, VA TechWabag has received an order to enlarge the capacity ofthe refinery's demineralisation plant by 150 m³/h. Thecontract value for the project that should be finalised within14 months is �2.1 million (US$2.4 million). The plant isbeing installed in a new building located adjacent to theexisting treatment units and employs state-of-the-artreverse osmosis (RO) pre-treatment followed by ionexchange units for the production of ultra-pure boiler feedwater. A stand alone condensate polishing unit with acapacity of 100 m³/h will also be supplied.

Distribution deal for engine oilbypass filter technology

WIX Filtration Products group, part of Dana Corp andthe dutch company NTZ Nederland BV have formed astrategic alliance for the sale and distribution of the NTZbypass microfiltration system.

Through the alliance, the complete line of NTZ bypassmicro filters and replacement cartridges will be availablethroughout the WIX distribution network

The patented technology provides high efficiencyfiltration of lube oil. NTZ micro filters are used inconjunction with the standard lube filtration system forany engine, transmission or hydraulic system.
