Introduction

The Ford Guest Experience (FGE India), is a Sales application, primarily used by Sales

Consultants (SC) to demonstrate and highlight the vehicle features. This tool will contain details of 5

vehicles which are listed below:

• Ecosport

• Aspire

• New Figo

• Endeavour

• Mustang

Login

Your 9 Digit Stars ID has to be entered for ‘Username’.

Sales Consultant name has to be entered for ‘Enter Name’.

Home Screen

On successful Login, the home screen will show the main menus and slide show of available models.

Modules

1. Ford Intro Video :

On tapping on Ford Intro video from side menu, the video depicting the history and achievements

of Ford Motor Company will be played.

2. Know Your Guest :

On tapping ‘know your Guest’ from side menu or home screen, a list of questions with options to

understand the guest’s preference of vehicle will be captured. Only one option can be selected at a

time.

• Question 1: If the guest, already has a car we have to select the corresponding option and mention

the name of the vehicle in the text box. Else, we have to choose ‘None’.

• Question 2: To calculate the average running of the current vehicle, tap on the month and year

(Select the month and year of purchase) , enter the odometer reading and automatically the

average running is calculated. We can also edit the average running field.

• Question 3: Need to enter the competitor vehicle name.

• Question 4 – 10 : Need to select the desired option based on the question.

• Mandatory Questions * - Question 6 and Question 8 are mandatory and based on the option

selected the application will suggest the vehicle in the next screen. On tapping ‘Done’ button, we

will be navigated to the ‘Suggested Vehicle’ screen.

• Suggested Vehicle: Based on the selection of options in the mandatory questions, the Suggested

vehicle and Also Consider vehicles will be displayed.

We can tap on the vehicle image and navigate to 360° Exterior view, if the vehicle content is already

downloaded.

3. Learning all about Ford :

On tapping ‘Learning all about Ford’ from side menu we can move to the ‘Select a Vehicle’ screen.

On choosing the desired vehicle the 360° exterior view will be loaded. We can navigate from home

screen ‘Go’ button as well, if the vehicle content is already downloaded.

Queue Download:

- Initially all the vehicles will be in ‘Tap to Download’ Status. (Eg: Aspire).

- Select a Vehicle for download (Eg. Ecosport). Download progress will be shown.

- Tap on another vehicle (Eg: Aspire).

- An alert will ask you that current vehicle download in progress, do you want to queue download

for the selected vehicle.

- Tap on Download.

- The status bar shows as ‘Download Pending…’ for Aspire.

Queue Updates:

- Tap on another vehicle which has update (Eg: Endeavour)

- An alert will ask you that current vehicle download in process, do you want to queue update for

the selected vehicle.

- Tap on Update to Queue the vehicle.

- The status bar shows as ‘Download Pending…’ for Endeavour.

- Tap on ‘Skip’ to skip the update and explore the content.

Cancel the download from Queue:

- Tap the vehicle having Download pending status

- A confirmation message pops up that you want to cancel the download or not.

- For update, a confirmation message pops up that you can Cancel the download or skip the

download cancellation and move to the further screens.

• 360° Exterior

By default, 360° Exterior view will be loaded. We can choose the desired color from color palette

and view the vehicle 360° view in the chosen color.

• 360° Interior

On tapping Interior icon, 360° Interior view will be loaded. We can view the vehicle 360° interior

view.

• Hotspot

On tapping Hotspot icon, the Exterior Front view of the vehicle will be loaded with the first category

hotspots animated on the vehicle. We can view the hotspots of each category in 4 positions.

• Exterior Front

• Exterior Rear

• Interior Front

• Interior Rear

If there are no hotspots available for a category, the category icon will be disabled.

On visiting a hotspot feature the animation effect of the hotspot feature will be stopped after viewing

to indicate that we have viewed that hotspot feature.

On tapping on the hotspot feature, we will be able to view the image/video and its feature description.

If interactivity icons are available we can use them to depict the feature with its different effects. On

swiping the screen, we can view the other features of the selected category for the current position.

(Eg: Exterior Front).

• Hotspot Gallery – All the hotspots are classified into their corresponding categories and for

each category Exterior / Interior classification is mentioned. On tapping each feature we will be

able to view the image/ video with description.

4. Show how we are Better :

On tapping ‘Show how we are better’ from side menu or home screen, ‘Coming soon’ alert will be

displayed. This section will be updated soon.

On selecting the desired vehicle, the list of variants available for that vehicle will be listed.

We can choose a maximum of 3 competitors for comparison at a time.

On tapping ‘Compare’, the results for the chosen variants are displayed. By default the ‘Show All

features’ is selected. On tapping ‘Hide’ from the result section the common specifications among the

chosen variants are hidden. On tapping different categories the sub categories and specifications are

displayed based on the selection.

5. Smart Drive :

On tapping ‘Smart Drive’ from side menu or home screen, the list of audio files will be displayed

from which the desired file can be played. This is to depict the SYNC feature of ford vehicles.

6. Ownership Experience :

• On tapping ‘Ownership Experience’ from side menu or home screen, it will lead you to the next

screen which having Service Price Promise, Extended Service Business, Scheduled Service Plan

modules. When internet is unavailable the Service Price Promise, Scheduled Service Plan will

be disabled.

On tapping ‘Service Price Promise’ and ‘Scheduled Service Plan’ the corresponding webpages will be

loaded inside the application.

Extended Service Business Price List:

The Extended Service schemes and price list of all the vehicles are availble for the below categories.

• EW with RSA

• Total Maintenance Plan

• Scheduled Service Plan

• EW with RSA : The amount are displayed based on the mentioned criteria : Model, Fuel Type,

Product Type and Plan Terms/Km.

• Total Maintenance Plan: The amount are displayed based on the mentioned criteria : Model,

Fuel Type and Plan Terms/Km.

• Scheduled Service Plan : The amount are displayed based on the mentioned criteria : Model,

Fuel Type and Plan Terms/Km.

7. Personalize Guest Car :

On tapping ‘Personalize Guest Car’ from side menu or home screen, the ‘Select a Vehicle’ screen

will be displayed.

On tapping the desired vehicle, by default the exterior view of the vehicle with the list of exterior

accessories will be displayed.

On tapping Interior icon, the interior view of the vehicle with the list of interior accessories will be

displayed.

• On tapping the thumb images we will be able to select/deselect the accessory.

• On tapping details, the full screen image of the accessory can be viewed.

• On tapping camera icon, the vehicle will be captured in the desired angle and will sent as an

email to guest with the selected accessory list images.

• On tapping the list icon, the guest can view the list of accessories selected under exterior and

Interior category.

8. Financial Solutions :

On tapping ‘Financial Solutions’ from side menu or home screen, the details to generate a financial

quote will be captured here.

The guest’s desired vehicle will be selected and the list of documents that the guest needs to

submit to avail loan will be displayed on selecting the type of guest from the list.

Once all the details are filled (Need to fill all the fields) email will be sent with the generated quote.

9. Variant Compare :

On tapping ‘Variant Compare’ from side menu, ‘Select a Vehicle’ screen will be displayed to choose

the desired vehicle.

On selecting the desired vehicle, the list of variants available for that vehicle will be listed. On tapping

‘Technical Specification’ the technical details of the chosen vehicle will be displayed.

We can choose a maximum of 3 variants for comparison at a time.

On tapping compare the results for the chosen variants are displayed. By default the ‘Show All

features’ is selected. On tapping ‘Hide’ from the result section the common specifications among the

chosen variants are hidden. On tapping different categories the sub categories and specifications are

displayed based on the selection.

10. Email Brochure :

On tapping ‘Email Brochure’ from side menu, ‘Select a Vehicle’ screen will be displayed to choose

the desired vehicle.

We need to enter the Title, Guest name and Guest email ID. By default the Sales Consultant email ID

will be populated.

11. Gallery:

On tapping “Gallery”, the gallery screen with the thumb of all images/videos will be displayed. On

tapping each thumb, the corresponding image/ video will be displayed in full screen. We can scroll to

view all the image/video in gallery section.

12. Guest Touch Points :

On tapping ‘Guest Touch Points’, the India map will be loaded with the service points count getting

displayed at State level.

On tapping each count the city level service counts will be displayed and further the service point with

the details of service point (Service point name, Address, Phone number) will be displayed.

On tapping Sales tab, similar details of Sales points can be viewed. On tapping Reset button, the map

will be loaded to the default view (Service points at state level).

When internet is not available, an image will be displayed with the default view.

13. Learning Resources :

On tapping ‘Learning Resources’ from side menu, the screen with different categories will be

displayed. Under each category files (Image, video or pdf) will be pushed as update to the application

which will be sorted by date or file name. When you logout and login online the files will get updated,

if any.

14. Notice Board :

On tapping ‘Notice Board’ from side menu, the message inbox screen will be displayed. When no

messages are available the alert message will be displayed. From dealer or Zone head the messages

will be pushed as update to the application. The no of unread messages will be displayed in the side

menu. When you logout and login online the messages will get updated, if any.

15. Version Details :

On tapping ‘Version Details’ from side menu, the version details of Application, Each Product and

Others screen will be displayed.

The installation ID, Dealer name and Dealer code also will be displayed.

In case of any issues, there is a provision to delete a particular vehicle content.

• Tap on Product Update

• Long press the vehicle image for which the entire content has to be deleted.

• A confirmation box will pop up. On selecting ‘Ok’. The corresponding vehicle content will be

deleted.

• The status of the vehicle in ‘Learing All about Ford’ will be reset to ‘Tap to Download’.

- When we try to delete content of vehicle not yet downloaded. An alert will be thrown – ‘ Vehicle

Content not available’.

- When we try to delete content of vehicle when the download is in progress. An alert will be

thrown.

Logout

On tapping ‘Logout’ from side menu, the application will be logged out and login screen will be

displayed.

• The application will automatically logout every day at 11.59 PM.

• If the application has not been logged in online for 3 days, it will automatically logout and we

need to login online for further access.
