Hypothesis• If I try, I could probably force a fox terrier to adapt by making minor changes to its daily routine. So after breakfast for three days, I will sound the bell recording and proceed to spray her with water in order to make her fear the sound of a bell.

Purpose• The purpose of this experiment is to find out if one could condition a fox terrier to experience fear at the sound of a bell using water.

ProcedureStep 1: Feed the subject two cups of Purina’s Beneful dog foodStep 2: Fill a spray bottle with water. (Temp Varies)Step 3: Sound the bell recording within earshot of the subject for five seconds.Step 4: Spray the subject with water twice.

Materials• ½ a cup of hot water• ½ a cup of room temperature water• ½ a cup of cold water• A spray bottle• A fox terrier• A prerecorded bell sound• 6 cups of Purina’s Beneful dog food

Experiment• First, I will feed the subject two cup of Purina’s Beneful dog food at 7:00 am.

Experiment• Then, 10 minutes after the subject has finished eating, I will sound the bell recording four times.

Experiment• After sounding the bell four times, will spray the subject with hot water twice.

ResultsIt seems that during day one the subject experienced the least amount of fear. During the second day, the subject experienced a medium amount of fear. During the third day, the subject experienced the most amount of fear. Now at the sound of a bell, the subject fleas.

ConclusionI have proved my hypothesis right. I discovered that one can condition a dog to fear the sound of a bell.
