In this project, I explored how non-pictorial drawing may represent concrete experiencethrough a specific vocabularyof marks, tonality, and compositional gesture.
The force I chose to study wasgrowth. I attempted to to create something that displayed an on going process, as life and growth is a process that spans over a certain amount of time.

In this drawing I attempted to visually show multiplication which represented growth, with a variety of different marks.

Furthermore represented growth by unfolding marks, with smaller marks building up den-sity as it progressed through the page.
