The Great Thanksgiving... All baptized, believing Christians are welcome to the Lord’s Table. Come forward down the center aisle, pick up a glass and follow the directions of the ushers. Glasses of grape juice are available in the center of the tray. If you are unable to come to the altar, please inform an usher so that the Eucharist may be brought to you.
For Children Ages 2—6: Busy Bags are available near the Growing in Faith Together (GIFT) Table in the back of the sanctuary. One bag per child, please, and return bags to the bin following worship. Nursery care: There will be no nursery care during the service.
Though the word trinity is not found in the scriptures, today’s second reading includes the apostolic greeting that begins the liturgy: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. In the gospel Jesus sends his disciples forth to
baptize in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. More than a doctrine, the Trinity expresses the heart of our faith: we have experienced the God of creation made known in Jesus Christ and with us always through the Holy Spirit. We celebrate the mystery of the Holy Trinity in word and sacrament, as we profess the creed, and as we are sent into the world to bear witness to our faith.

Congregation/Council Conversation In an effort to hear everyone’s point of view, the Congregation Council is inviting all members to join us for listening and conversation. Together, we will: + look at the present and look to the future. What does this mean to you? + talk about what we enjoy, value and accomplish here at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church + discuss where we see ourselves in the future. What do we want to become and how will we do that? + formulate reasons to celebrate, actions to take and plans to make! Please plan on attending!
God’s work. Our hands. Plus our hearts and prayers.
Please fill the empty spaces for June Worship Assistants. The sign-up sheet is posted in the narthex! There are empty spaces for Communion Assistants, Lectors, Clickers (Projection Assistants)! Please help out!
Sign up on the bulletin board in the narthex by the entrance.

This weekend, we welcome back Pastor Sue Jones as part of our Sesquicentennial celebration. Sue joined our congregation in 2001 and shortly after that, she was elected to our Congregation Council. Eventually, she was elected to be the chief lay officer of our congregation. By 2006, Sue discerned a call to ordained ministry and graduated from the
Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia in 2010; she was ordained here at Saint Paul’s in February, 2011.
Her first call was to Lord of Life Lutheran in Tabernacle, where she served as an associate pastor with Pastor David Jones (another “product” of St. Paul’s!). Currently, she serves as lead pastor at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Toms River.

Here at St. Paul’s, we are on a mission to celebrate motherhood. We are interested in forming a Mom’s ministry to build circles of women who love each other like family, because raising humans is beautiful and hard, and having each other to lean on is life-giving.
What is a MOPS group? Here’s the skinny: MOPS groups are gatherings of moms (young & old) who come together for community, conversation and friendship. The goal of MOPS is to meet each mom where she is and walk beside her as she embarks upon the crazy and beautiful journey we call motherhood – so that YOU, mama, get exactly what you need and are surrounded by other moms just like you. This is motherhood, and together we can change the world in all the best ways.
Please join us for coffee, tea and sweets at an informational meeting on
Wednesday, June 14 in the Parish Hall from 11am-12pm
All are welcome—Invite your friends
