A blustering full-volume alarm awakens my sound sleep. It is a typical 6 o

clock in the morning. The fresh breeze of sunrise the homey smell of my

mom!s old breakfast the hangered ironed uniform and my rucksack bag-

I!m feeling it Im all set for school.

"etermined to save a #ve-peso $padyak$ fare for I!m a little self-proclaimed

cheapskate I walk to the terminal not far from our house and climb into an

almost vacant %eepney. As usual the same rule goes #rst come #rst choice

of seat. Today I start out lucky. I instantly place myself on a familiar spot

where I used to sit. It isn!t so long until it is packed with passengers. The

automobile %ourneys through the road blowing strands of my dark hair as it

run.

&hile waiting to reach my stop I naively stare at an opening behind me. 'y

eyes are drawn to an ordinary city scenario(mumbling noise honking cars

and rushing people. )verybody is moving their businesses. Theres seems to

be a deep sense of connection and of purpose I think. Its nothing new

sooner than I come in to this understanding. )*cept for the #rst time I see

whats behind this striking concept+ a function.

Education and its consequences

Education is never an easy mission. College makes it worse; mentally,

intellectually, and even fnancially. Hence, it is a straight act that studying in

a university means a dreadul hole or every parents pocket. A daughter o a

retired policeman and a working government employee, might ust !e airly

a!le to sustain the retting cost, !ut who would have had to disagree on this

gratiying opportunity" I shall take this chance. Attaining the grant will

certainly lighten up the load o my hardworking parents. #heir dedication to

hand their our children with a promising uture is priceless. $ not later than

the progressive community. $t has always !een my goal to !e 'something or

in $ndustrial Engineering to cultivate my crat. Altogether, $ strongly !elieve

maroon painted gate signals my stop. I arrive handing in a few coins to an

old lady beside me I hurriedly %ump o, the automobile. ooking at my wrist

watch it is seven thirty the ag ceremony will begin. I sigh. I walk my way

inside.
