ENTREPRENEURSHIP BOOTCAMP FOR VETERANS WITH DISABILITIES HAVE YOU EVER DREAMED OF STARTING YOUR OWN BUSINESS? w PROGRAM OVERVIEW Like the bootcamp you know, the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilies (EBV) is intense, rigorous and challenging. The EBV program is offered through a network of world-class schools across the country, and consists of a series of training modules designed to assist parcipants in creang and growing a successful and profitable venture. A team of entrepreneurship faculty and successful entrepreneurs works with each student, providing a fun, interacve and informave experience. The EBV was founded in 2007 at the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University (SU), and is operated by SU’s Instute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF). THREE-PHASE EXPERIENCE PHASE I: Thirty-day online course moderated by entrepreneurship faculty from one of the EBV universies. PHASE II: Nine-day residency session at one of the EBV universies, where students are exposed to the ‘nuts and bolts’ of business ownership. PHASE III: Twelve months of ongoing support and mentorship from faculty experts and EBV resource providers. He has transformed his idea from a start- up to a sustainable venture, known today as Patriot Contractors. His company brings in nearly $3 million per year and operates in the Dallas and El Paso, Texas area. “There’s sll a piece of you that is missing when you leave service,” says Raſtery, a Marine and veteran of the 2003 Iraqi invasion. “Entrepreneurship is the final piece for me in making the 100 percent transion.” SCHOOL OF BUSINESS
