Dry Concrete Dust - Silica Dust is classified as a Class 1 Carcinogen. This means that it is classified at the same level as Asbestos! Dry concrete grinding exposes workers to harmful silica dust and puts thatdust into the environment.

Wet Concrete Slurry - Wet grinding, cutting and coring offer a safer alternative than dry processes which expose workers to harmful silica dust, a known carcinogen. However, wet slurry contains high solids and turbidity which may make it unacceptable for direct disposal in a sanitary sewer or landfill.

Surtec has the environmentally friendly and cost effective answer to this problem.

Slurry.SepTM quickly separates water from concrete slurry, to prepare both for recycling or disposal. Slurry.DryTM quickly converts the balance of the concrete grinding waste into a dry materialthat is ready for compliant disposal.*
