Male age 65 - $500k IRA sale into Benefit 10• Client receives 8% annual simple interest credits to his/her Benefit Base for the first 10 years and then

5% annual simple interest credits till age 85

• In year 6 the client will begin RMD withdrawals of $19,343

• These withdrawals reduce the Benefit Base Dollar for Dollar not pro rata.

• Even though the client is taking RMD distributions the Benefit Base continues to grow.

• After 20 years the client would have received $275,569 in RMD payments and still have a Total Client

Benefit Base of $772,082

• If the client died at age 85 the remaining Benefit Base of $772,082 would be paid out to the beneficiaries

over a period of 5 years or 70% of the Benefit base would be paid as a lump sum Death Benefit =

$540,457

• If Rider charges are greater than interest earned we “true up” the actual account value every 5 years
