Economy
A steady growth in our local economy continues to be expected according to the Center for Business and Economic Research at the University of Nevada (UNLV). The primary drivers of growth will continue to be tourism, tourism-related investments and construction. A new revenue of income that is also breaking records compared to Oregon and Colorado is the Marijuana Industry. With a lot of major developments on the horizon, the tourism industry in Las Vegas should be groundbreaking. Las Vegas visitation continues to grow, however visitor counts might be slower this year due to an undersupply of rooms and convention space. Gaming revenue continues to grow gradually to $733 million as of the third quarter of 2017.
