Video in Blackboard (Kaltura) For Instructors

Video

Video technology is on the increase, there has been a substantial increase in the use of video in the class room in the recent two years. Video can generate a great level of interest and enjoyment and is considered by students much more interesting than the traditional printed material. Using both sight and sound, video is the perfect medium for students who are auditory or visual learners and with captions/subtitles each student can watch listen or read each presentation.

The Kaltura Video Building Block for Blackboard allows staff to create, upload, publish, and create clips from existing video content. It also allows users to share video directly from within your Blackboard course. Staff will be able to manage video within a Blackboard course, with complete control over the storage and permissions for video files. Students will also be able to upload video assignments and video content can then be published to their chosen module.
