across the school zones in an effort to encourage drivers to maintain the posted “school zone” speed limits.
b. Parents and students can assist our team efforts by following all traffic/pedestrian
control devices and adhering to the direction of the MP Road Guards.
c. Parents should assist by discussing with their students the “safety” necessity of using the designated school crossing locations ONLY.
d. Parents should discuss with their students other safety matters, especially the risks
associated with the distractions created by talking on cell phones and/or texting while crossing the street.
e. MP’s will enforce the parking/stopping in unauthorized student drop off locations.

BACH Available Services List In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital took immediate steps to lessen the impact of possible exposure of COVID-19 to patients, hospital personnel and guests. BACH is taking a cohesive phased approach to begin offering more medical services. Patient safety, as well as the safety of hospital personnel, is of upmost priority. As long as conditions allow, more services are expected to begin reopening in the coming weeks. For the latest updates, visit https://blanchfield.amedd.army.mil/. Click the “updates” banner for a
complete list of Blanchfield Army Community Hospital services available.
Appointment Line
With the resumption of many services, the Appointment Line sometimes experiences an influx of patient calls creating a longer wait time than usual. We apologize if you have difficulty getting through. Other options to schedule appointments are via TOL or by a sending a secure message through your care team. If you are experiencing COVID-related symptoms and are not able to get through the Appointment Line at 270-798-4677 or 931-431-4677, you may also call the Nurse Advice Line at 1-800-TRICARE.
COVID-19 Services
Beneficiaries with COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath) or who have been in close contact with a COVID-19 infected person may call the hospital’s appointment line at 270-798-4677 (HOSP) or 931-431-4677 seven days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. to reach
the COVID-Triage Line. After hours, beneficiaries may call the MHS Nurse Advice Line at 1-800-TRICARE (874-2273). Nursing staff who support these phone lines can assist beneficiaries with their non-life threatening medical concerns and provide further guidance. Beneficiaries experiencing a medical emergency, such as severe shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, should call 911.
Quarantine and Isolation
If you have received a COVID-19 test and are awaiting results, please remain quarantined until you have been cleared by the medical team. This includes attending any medical appointments not related to a COVID-19 visit. Please stay at home until medically approved and help us keep each other safe from the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Immunization Awareness Month
The Centers for Disease Control recommends 14 vaccines for children birth to age six, which includes chickenpox, diphtheria, Hib, Hepatitis A and B, influenza, measles, mumps, pertussis, polio, pneumococcal, rotavirus, rubella and tetanus. Please visit the CDC website at www.cdc.gov/vaccines/schedules/easy-to-read/child.html to create a schedule for your child’s vaccine from birth or to see the recommended immunizations for children.
Blanchfield Army Community Hospital Public Affairs 270.956.0459
Talk to your care team if you have questions about the vaccines given to you or your children. Additionally, for vaccine questions, contact a health care provider 24/7 at 877-GETVACC (438-8222).
School and Sports Physicals
Blanchfield Army Community Hospital patient-centered medical home teams are conducting school and sports physicals now for BACH-enrolled TRICARE Prime beneficiaries during regular medical home hours Monday through Friday. Beneficiaries are encouraged to schedule an appointment now by calling the Appointment Line at 270-798-4677.
Women’s Health Update
All OB and Postpartum appointments will be face-to-face. Gynecology appointments are now being offered with limited availability at this time with priorities given to active duty readiness, abnormal Pap smears (dysplasia) and contraception appointments. Women’s OBGYN surgeries continue to be limited to urgent and emergent cases with plans to expand surgical cases soon. COVID testing is performed for all labor and delivery admissions, scheduled inductions, and cesarean sections. The BACH COVID-19 visitor’s policy remains the same: No visitors may accompany women to their outpatient visits to the Women’s Health Clinic unless the visit is for a six-week postpartum check-up, immediate blood pressure check-up or wound check-up. Then, newborns are allowed to accompany moms.
