“Taste of the Town” Returns on Saturday, April 4th 2020at Jefferson Community College

Dear Food & Beverage Industry Leaders,

On Saturday, April 4, 2020 the Taste of the Town returns for its 17th year! At Jefferson Community College from 11am to 2pm! Please join us in this fun filled family event.

Each year more than 1,000 people have attended this event to sample fine cuisine from both locally owned and nationally franchised food establishments, while also acting as a fundraiser for local non-profits. As a participating vendor you are asked to provide a sample-sized portion of your establishment’s favorite appetizer, main dish, dessert, or beverage to approximately 1,000 attendees who may stop by your booth to “taste” your offering. The only cost to you as a restaurant vendor is the food, preparation, and staffing of your booth. Judging categories will include a diverse selection of food and beverage honors!

Your participation in this fun family event helps to provide funding to two local non-profit organizations…Watertown Sunrise Rotary’s main objective is service in the community, in the workplace, and around the globe. Local projects funded and serviced by the Sunrise Rotary Club include playgrounds, park beatification, a summer camp for disabled persons, holiday parties for underprivileged children, support of local scholarships, and various non-profit and community donations. For the third year, an additional surprise non-profit will be awarded $5,000 of Taste of the Town proceeds! Congratulations to our 2019 recipient NYS Zoo at Thompson Park! An RFP process will determine this year’s recipient, to be announced live at the Taste of the Town event on Saturday, April 4 th.

There is a registration form enclosed which must be emailed, faxed, or mailed back ASAP to assure your space. By signing up early you could be included in television, radio, print, and online advertisements. Please don’t hesitate to contact any of us with any questions you may have. We look forward to working together to create an event with great food and lots of fun – all for a great cause!
