Original Portrait Of Stevie Ray Vaughan to Be Auctioned While The Paint Drys.
During the course of it's creation, international artist Tom Noll is offering up his 28" x 40" oil painting of blues legend Stevie Ray Vaughan.
For the first time ever, Tom is releasing an original oil painting for auction in aninteractive on-line format.
While posting the in-progress photos daily during its 10 day run, his collectorswill have the opportunity to bid on the original artwork as it takes shape from theattached pencil sketch.
Tom is known worldwide for his Art that Rocks print series of famous musicians.With the exception of commissioned artworks, the original portrait masters havenot as of yet been offered for sale.
Blues legend Stevie Ray Vaughan was chosen as Tom's subject for this portraitbecause of Stevie's wide critical recognition for his guitar playing and hispassionate fan base. After years of alcohol and substance abuse, Steviecleaned himself up and lived the rest of his life with a deep devotion to his musicand sobriety, becoming a solid inspiration to many. 23 yrs ago this August,Stevie was killed in a helicopter crash after a stellar concert at Alpine Valley inEast Troy, Wisconsin. He was posthumously inducted into the Blues Hall ofFame in 2000.
