Brianna Notebaert receives her 300 Hour Award pin from VAMC Chief of Staff, Dr. Robert Babcock. On August 23, the Canandaigua VA Medical Center recognized the accomplishments of its 2016 Youth Volunteers. This year 43 youths participated in the Volunteer Program. Youth/students freely gave their time to various job assignments in Recreation Therapy, Chaplain Service, DAV, Women Veteran Call Center, Gardening, Human Resources, Welcome Center Greeters, visiting community living center residents and escorting Veterans to events and appointments. Four students were recognized for their outstanding efforts in providing care to our Veterans: 50 Hour Award – Sydney Dillman – Recreation Therapy 50 Hour Award – Ryan Daniels – Eagle Scout Project donating materials and building raised plant beds. 50 Hour Award – Laura Martinez – Recreation Therapy 300 Hour Award – Brianna Notebaert – Veteran Recovery Program
