Los Angeles, CA — Nucleus is proud to welcome artist Yumiko Kayukawa as she signscopies of her new book Japanese Wolf published by Zero +. Influenced by traditional andmodern Japanese imagery as well as Western culture, her new book features over 80 newpaintings focusing on a commune with animals in their natural environments. Yumiko Kayukawa grew up in the small town of Naie in Hokkaido, Japan. In this pristine,natural surrounding, she found her love of animals and nature which later became animportant theme for her work. As she grew up, Yumiko drew inspirations from Americanpop culture such as Rock & Roll, film and fashion. These influences are fused with modernand traditional Japanese motifs to create her unique style.

Focusing primarilyon gallery exhibits, we have also had benefit auctions, product signings, music events, andartist lectures.
