S top and smell the roses. It is a phrase we have each heard a hundred times.
But how many of us are actually doing it? The life of a grandparent raising grandchildren feels fast-paced and complicated. Between school, work, appointments, and extracurricular activities, quiet moments seem rare.
T he truth, however, is that life will always be complicated. Rather
than wait for life to get easier, teach yourself to approach life with a positive
outlook. Begin each day with realistic expectations, and end each day reminding yourself of what went well. Duet invites you to attend our monthly grandparent support groups throughout the Valley. Gather with fellow grandparents to share resources and brainstorm solutions to the many challenges of raising grandchildren. You are not alone in this.

memories. These moments do not need to be big and expensive. They can actually include simple activities like watching movies together at home, walking around your neighborhood, and cooking a meal together. Join Duet for one of our grandfamily outings to Arizona Science
Museum, KTR Gym, or Out of Africa Animal Park. Sometimes, those minutes of one-on-one attention are what you will remember most fondly.
