SUMMER 2016 PROGRAMS • WORKSHOPS winning playwright Karen Zacarias focuses on the fun, frivolity, and deep-ly serious politics found in our beloved Book Clubs. When a new member is hastily invited into this Club, will this group of friends ever be the same? Uproariously hilarious, this contem-porary comedy lets us celebrate our love for reading while allowing us to laugh at ourselves – and our loved ones. Accompanied by opportunities for each audience to share their favor-ite book titles, this play is a celebration of why we love to love – and talk about – our books. Produced in partnership with Battenkill Books, which will host a series of workshops and book club parties throughout the run.

The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee WilliamsApril 22-May 7, 2017Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pmSaturdays and Sundays at 2 pm$25 Adults/$10 Students Ages 6-22Starring Cambridge’s own Christine Decker, this American classic tells the tale of Tom, his sister Laura, mother Amanda, and the Gentleman Caller. A meditation on how the past can haunt our present, this American classic made playwright Tennessee Williams famous and is perhaps his most personal work - giving us a win-dow into his love for his real life sister Rose. Filled with laughter, love, and longing, The Glass Menagerie is a great play about family, forgiveness, and our desire to let go of the past.
