Auction – 22 May 2008

Final Price - $1,200,000



Building Auction

- Building sold for $1.2M (Reserve $800,000)

- Earlier apparent bid for $2M was invalid leading to the final bid $1.2M which was accepted by all parties.

- Final tally of funds to club after fees and expenses

$1,175,000

- This is an excellent outcome for the club!

Purpose of the Renovation

1. To improve the facilities for the existing members

- Better facilities- Increased comfort- Meet existing member’s needs

2. Add to the facilities of the club

3. Make the club more attractive to new members


Sub-committee Duties

The Sub-committee is charged with:

-establishing renovation budget

-establishing and prioritizing renovation project

-sourcing architect, project manager and builders

-purchasing of furniture and appliances

-reporting to the executive committee

- require 2 – 3 concepts - the least amount of spend for our needs

- Kitchen upgrade- Re-design of Bar area- Air conditioning- Repair to roof/ceiling- Dance Floor- Smoking area/back deck- Upgrade to toilets - mens and ladies toilets (add 1 each)- Storage and cupboards- Entry way signage- Details to include provision of new:

CarpetCurtains and blinds

- Assessment of project plans from the architects

- Preparation of budget based on plans

- Planning for the least amount of spend for our needs
