A Primary Consumer…..

We just like every other animal cannot make our own food so, for survival we must eat plants

and/or other animals. Thus we are called consumers. There are three groups of

consumers.Primary Consumers are animals that eat only

plants. They are also known as Herbivores. Can you list some Herbivores?

What is a Secondary Consumer?Who is a Secondary Consumer?

Secondary Consumer……

Animals that eat only other animals are called carnivores.

Can you name some carnivores?

Those carnivores that eat only herbivores are called secondary consumers. Can you name some secondary

consumers?

Carnivores that eat only other carnivores are called tertiary

consumers.Can you name some tertiary

consumers?

Animals that eat both plants and animals are called omnivores.

Can you name some omnivores?
