The total calories consumed, in addition to breakfast, lunch, and dinner, was around 1, 820 calories.

These extra calories added up quickly and this is just from rewards!!!!

Everyone had good intentions to reward this student, but no one knew that she had been rewarded all day long.

What Can YOU do?

Ask children what types of rewards they want- you may be surprised to find that food is the last thing they want.

Try offering rewards that get them moving more, like playing a game of basketball.

Offer rewards that will foster learning, such as a new book or a trip to the library.
