� After seven years working in quality assurancewith another company, I was hired at my currentposition. I make sure our employees obey localand federal food safety regulations in handling,processing, and packaging various foodstuffs. I’mresponsible for training, mentoring, monitoring,motivating, and evaluating employees. Ipromote and maintain a team environmentbetween department and supervisory staff.I work closely with sales and plant operationsteams in the areas of quality management,

inspectioncoordination, and testingrequirements.

� I am accountable for the quality control of rawmaterials and finished products. I implement internalquality assurance systems and oversee quality controlanalysis of products and processes through testing andinspections. I prepare reports based on tests formeasuring quality, quantity, and composition offoods. I am responsible for maintaining productionand service quality. I arrange, coordinate, andparticipate in external quality audits.

� I enjoy the different demands associatedwith my job. I work with people who havedifferent interests and goals. I’m also challengedto develop strategies that will ensurecompliance with safety regulations. Overall,I find the variety of my work very satisfying.
