It is attached to the Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine (INPL) (National Polytechnical Institute of Lorraine ), university that groups 7 Nancy’s engineering schools. Marketing & Consumer Behaviour A 4000 square meter documentation center Three computer rooms that provide permanent access to the internet, An automation room for practical work, but also for designing student projects, The food Technology Hall has equipment that guarantees simulated production conditions, The green houses and the largest phytotrons complex in France, make it possible to carry out studies and experiments on vegetables all year round Facilities RESEARCH 50 contracts for an annual income of 2 millions €. 150 researchers including 75 permanent staff : Agronomy and Environment Animal Science Industrial Fermentations and Bioconversions Physical-Chemistry and Food Engineering Biotechnological and food-industry Process Engineering Soil and Environment Specific themes are developed: in association with large research organisations (CNRS – NSF and INRA), national organisations (GIS-RIA, ADEME, ANDRA) within the scope of national (Tomorrow’s Food) and European research programs (COST, AAIR, FAIR) with foreign universities in partnership within the scope of the contract with the industrial sector, technical institutes and professional organisations. in the form of development schemes with international organisations (FAO, WHO). ADMISSION TO THE ENSAIA Every year, 125 students are recruited for the first year through a highly selective entrance exam, taken two years after the equivalent of the high school diploma. It is also possible to admit three foreign students based on their files. For admission in the second year, 25 students are recruited based on their files for those who have a Bachelor degree in Science. Thewse students will receive a master degree after two years at the ensaia. For admission into the third year, around twenty places are open to students from French Engineering Grande Ecoles and twenty places are open to students from foreign universities. Students are accepted based on their files within the scope of exchanges with partner establishments on a national or international level. STUDENT ASSOCIATION AND SPORTS ACTIVITIES A board of students (BDE) is responsible for the organisation of sporting activities, special events and parties, meetings, etc. A cafeteria within the School is managed entirely by the students. More than 100 sports are practiced at the Inter University Department of Physical and Sporting Activities. All levels (from beginner to competition level) are proposed. Sporty students may, if they wish, take part in county, regional and national university championships.
