center, saidconstruction is about 60percent done. The center currentlyemploys about 375construction workers aday, and is expected touse thousands moreduring its entireconstruction."Right now, work is being done onthe catwalk and atticspace, includingmechanical, electricaland lights," he said. One feature that standsout is its "wave wall" - alarge curved concretewall that will run theentire length and heightof the building. This wall- which will be used toseparate the three maintheaters - can be usedas a billboard on eventnights. If your business isholding an event there, the wall could have acompany logo projectedonto it, which could beseen by anyone drivingalong Orange Avenueand possibly State Road408. Something else I heardat the tour: The centermay use a parking valetapp, in which a text isused to have artspatrons' cars be broughtup when the shows areover. The center is expectedto open its first phase, the 2,700-seat WaltDisney Theater, inNovember. CenterPresident KathyRamsberger willcontinue to fundraise forPhase 2. "We havesecured commitmentsto fund 93 percent of theproject costs," so far,she previously told OBJ.
