► With a separate leasing policy, there is a provision of allotment of state-

owned land to multi-national companies

► Provisions are made by the Government of Gujarat in the leasing policy

for village pond’s land. Some of the provisions are:

► Leasing period is 10 years

► Leasing procedure is carried out by F.F.D.A.

► Concerned village panchayat is responsible for providing lease

for pisciculture

► Lease amount is paid to the respective Panchayat after

deducting expenditure

► VAT reimbursement scheme: Fisheries department provides diesel at a

subsidised rate (VAT is paid by the fisheries department)
