Von der A44 fahren Sie ber den messeeigenen Zubringer auf die Groparkpltze der Messe Dsseldorf. 20.000 Parkpltze stehen Ihnen dort zur Verfgung, und Pendelbusse bringen Sie kostenlos zu den verschiedenen Eingngen der Messe und zurck.

In die seit Februar 2009 im Gebiet der Landeshauptstadt Dsseldorf eingerichtete und im Februar 2013 vergrerte Umweltzone drfen nur noch Fahrzeuge mit grner oder gelber Schadstoffplakette ein-fahren.

Wer ohne Plakette in das beschilderte Areal einfhrt, dem drohen ein Bugeld von 40 und ein Punkt in der Verkehrssnderdatei in Flensburg.

brigens: Das Gelnde der Messe Dsseldorf, die Parkpltze und die Autobahn 44 zur Messe sind von der Umweltzone nicht betroffen.

You will travel by car?

From the A44, follow the Messe Dsseldorfs own access road to the Trade Fair Centers large-scale car parks with 20,000 parking places. From here, free shuttle buses take you to all entrances and back within just a few minutes.

From February 2009 and furthermore February 2013 new environmental regulations are valid for the city of Dsseldorf. Only vehicles with a valid emission sticker (green or yellow) can enter the low emission zone.

If you drive into the zone without a sticker you could be subject to a 40 fi ne and also registration of the traffi c misdemeanour.

The exhibition site itself, the car parks and the highway A 44 leading to these are not in the low emission zone.

Traffic controls: Speed traps, etc. with radar as well as video and still cameras are used frequently. Foreign drivers are not exempted from traffic violation penalties. The police frequently carry out random-sample traffic controls.

Multistorey car parks: There are sufficient parking garages. Those in the central part of the city are integrated in a computer-supported parking guidance system with displays showing how many parking spaces are still free in which car parks. Parking fees may vary. Generally speaking, those closer to the city center are more expensive. Parking permit cards are paid for and issued at machines before picking up the car after parking. The machines accept both coins and bills and give change.

Petrol stations: 24-hour service at all motorway petrol stations. In the city from about 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., with some stations also open 24 hours!

Right of way: Right before left unless regulated by signs. Traffic in a roundabout has right of way!

U-turns: Not allowed on motorways, nor is driving backwards. Always drive to the next exit. In urban areas, U-turns are only allowed if visibility makes for a safe turn.

Safe distance: Adapt your driving to the traffic situation. At high speeds, maintain a distance of up to 100 metres from the car in front of you if possible, otherwise a distance corresponding to at least 2 seconds of travel.

Parking prohibitions: Parking prohibited (red-blue sign with diagonal bar) and stopping prohibited (red-blue sign with diagonal bars crossed in an X). Cars blocking exits will be towed!

Safety belts: Safety belts must be worn. Children under the age of 12 must sit on the back seat.

Alcohol: The best advice is for drivers not to have consumed any alcohol. 0.5 per mil blood alcohol are allowed. If drunken driving is suspected, alcohol tests will be performed either on site or at the police station.

Phoning while driving: Drivers must use hands-free equipment to phone while driving.

Verkehrskontrollen: Verkehrskontrollen mit hufi g versteckt aufgestelltem Radar, Video bzw. Kamera. Auch auslndische Fahrer werden belangt. Die Polizei fhrt hufi g Zufallsverkehrs-kontrollen durch.

Parkhuser: Es gibt ausreichend Parkhuser. Im Zentrum sind die Parkhuser an ein Computer-Parkleitsystem angeschlossen. Es zeigt an, wie viele Parkpltze in welchen Parkhusern noch frei sind. Die Parkgebhren knnen variieren.Faustregel: je weiter von der Stadtmitte entfernt, desto preis-werter. Man bezahlt seine Parkkarte vor dem Abholen des Wagens an Automaten, die Mnzen und auch Geldscheine annehmen. Die Automaten geben Wechselgeld zurck.

Tankstellen: 24-Stunden-Service an allen Autobahntankstellen. Im Stadtgebiet ca. von 6.00 bis 23.00 Uhr, einige sind auch 24 Stunden tglich geffnet!

Vorfahrt: Sofern nicht durch Verkehrsschilder anders geregelt: rechts vor links. Verkehr im Kreisverkehr hat Vorfahrt!

Wenden auf Straen: Auf Autobahnen strengstens verboten, ebenso rckwrts fahren. Fahren Sie immer bis zur nchsten Ausfahrt. In Stdten sollten Sie Ihren Wagen nur bei bersicht-lichem Verkehr wenden.

Sicherheitsabstand: Passen Sie sich der Verkehrssituation an. Bei hohen Geschwindigkeiten mglichst bis zu 100 Meter Abstand, ansonsten mindestens zwei Sekunden Distanz zum Vordermann.

Parkverbot: Es gibt Parkverbote (rotblaues Schild mit einem diagonalen Strich) und Halteverbote (rotblaues Schild mit gekreuzten diagonalen Strichen). Beim Parken vor Ausfahrten wird abgeschleppt.

Sicherheitsgurte: Das Anlegen von Sicherheitsgurten ist Pfl icht. Kinder bis 12 Jahre mssen hinten sitzen.

Alkohol: Am besten keinen Alkohol am Steuer. Erlaubt sind 0,5 Promille. Bei Verdacht auf zu viel Alkohol finden am Ort oder auf der Polizeistation Alkoholkontrollen statt.

Telefonieren im Auto: Fr Fahrer ist das Telefonieren whrend der Fahrt nur mit Freisprechanlage erlaubt.
