Director’s wordsWelcome to one of the most uniqueacademic programs in the region. TheInternational MBA is a response to theInternationalization process in which theregion is immersed.

    Since the adoption of pro-market

reforms, not only have Latin Americancountries received massive ows of FDIdirected to different economic sectors, but they have also produced a newbreed of multinationals: The Multilatinas. This integration of Latin Americancountries with the global economy callsfor a new type of executive. Nowadays, companies require managers witha global perspective capable ofresponding to strategies of highly-qualied foreign competitors in theirlocal markets, as well as coping with theuncertainty of doing business above andbeyond their national boundaries.

In order to respond to this challenge, universities and business schools in theregion are using international eld tripsor international seminars to provide therequired global perspective.
