Meditation Commentary II - October 2007 (Avyakt Murli 31/3/07)

Commentary - BABA’S DRILL (5 minutes) on 31/03/07 Now, do you remember the drill that BapDada taught you? Throughout the whole day you have to perform this drill for 5 minutes many times. At the very least, for a minimum, can you do it 8 times for the whole day? Then when the next season begins BapDada will ask for everyone’s result. Baba will tell you one more thing later, not now. He will tell you about it later. So this year, the homework from the end of the season till the next session, definitely perform this drill 8 times every day. You definitely have to do it. If you miss it then do it many times in one hour and complete it. Go to sleep afterwards. First perform the drill 8 times and then go to sleep.

Yoga Practice: This week we shall again create a rhythm of practicing the 5 forms drill.(i). Eternal form – experience yourself near the great light in the supreme abode… I as the soul am in my perfect form…divine light is spreading from me into all directions…I am in a state of deep peace…(ii). Original form – experience that I am a deity in the Golden age…staying in a palace of gold studded with diamonds…I am seated on the throne in the royal durbar…in the kingdom there is prosperity everywhere…the deities are moving about in the gardens and in the Vimans…nature, birds and animals are entertaining us in different ways…(iii). Worship worthy form – I am Ganesh, or Durga, or Vishnu…I have been consecrated at the temple…I am the bestower of attainments, the destroyer of obstacles…I am supremely pure… my devotees are singing my glory…I shower blessings on them through my hand that bestows blessings…

(iv). Brahmin form – I am a child of God, the mouth born progeny of Brahma… I am a victorious jewel…God is my companion…his hand of blessings is constantly on my head…(v). Angel form – See the perfect angelic form in front of you or in the subtle world… I am a shining angel… rays of light and might are radiating from me in all directions… slowly that perfect angel comes near me and merges into me…

Every hour we do the drill of the 5 forms – and then we have a commentary each hour going into one of the 5 forms.

1. Brahmin. BapDada has asked us to practice the drill of our 5 forms: WHAT IS MY FORM?I am a Brahmin soul, a spiritual effort-maker I am an angel, I have a subtle light body, and I am so light that I can fly I am an incorporeal living light, a point of spiritual energy, giving life to this body.I am a deity, born without vice, enjoying the perfect happiness of a body made from pure elements, I am a worship-worthy soul; my image is created on the path of bhakti, in remembrance of my particular speciality.

Commentary: I am a Brahmin. I am one out of multimillions, chosen by God. I am in direct connection with the one that everyone is calling out to. Baba, you found me and made me belong to you. You are my Father, and I am receiving the inheritance of your powers and virtues, becoming BapSaman, equal to you. You are my Teacher, you have entrusted me with the secrets of the Three Worlds and the eternal Cycle of Time. You are my Guru, giving me directions for living an elevated life and purifying my sanskars, and when my time comes I will follow you Home. Let me remember with gratitude all the attainments of my Brahmin life, and also let me consider my rights and my responsibilities.

2. AngelDrill of the 5 forms: TO WHOM DO I BELONG?I am an angel, I am double-light. I belong to Angel Brahma, and I belong to all the souls of the world, when they see me they feel protected, I am a point of light, no body, just a sparkling star, residing in my eternal home of light; I belong to Shiv Baba and the rosary of lightsI am a deity, a being with pure sanskars; I belong to the royal Sun Dynasty clan of self-rulersI am a worship-worthy soul, I belong to the rosary of victorious jewels, and I belong to the devotees.I am a Brahmin soul; I belong to the Brahmin clan, and to BapDada. I belong to the Highest on High Father, my Baba.

Commentary: I am an angel. Let me fly to the subtle regions. The light here is like the silvery light of a thousand moons. There is no sound; this is the movie world of pure silence. I look at my body of light, I hold my hand up, and I can see through it. I have no desires for worldly things, my sense organs are cool. I have no connection to the relationships of the old world, I belong to everyone now. I see a beautiful light ahead of me, this light is full of love, and as the light comes closer, I see before me Angelic Brahma Baba. Baba comes very close. Oh Baba, how beautiful it is to be an angel with you,

and receive your loving drishti. Baba let us tour the world together, spreading beautiful rays of peace from our eyes, and spreading rays of hope to all the despairing souls of the world.

3. Incorporeal SoulDrill of the 5 forms: WHERE DO I RESIDE? I am a point of light, jyoti bindu. My home is the Soul World, where the 84 parts I play throughout the cycle are merged, dormantI am a deity. My home is in Ancient Bharat, Paradise, I begin in the palace of my mother’s womb, and for half the kalpa I enjoy the pure family path in perfect health, wealth, and happiness.I am worship worthy soul. My non-living image is in the temples, churches and places of worship, and in the prayers and devotional practices of those who take support from copper age onwards.

I am a Brahmin. My home is Baba’s heart-throne, my home is in Baba’s eyes, and my home is in Madhuban and on the stage of world serviceI am an Angel. My home is the subtle regions with Avyakt BapDada, and from there we tour the world together.

Commentary: I am an incorporeal soul. A point. I the soul am bodiless. I the soul am beyond bodily needs. Beyond breathing, digestion, cellular repair. All the attributes of being housed in a body no longer influence me. I the soul am weightless. I the soul am genderless. I the soul am ageless. I the soul have no possessions. I the soul am free of all desires. There are no actions for me to perform. There’s nothing I have to do, or say, or even think. I the soul am complete. The sanskaras of human being are now merged. The personality of my final birth is now merged. I the soul am aware of my eternal self. I the soul now emerge my eternal qualities.

4. DeityDrill of the 5 forms: WHAT IS MY SPECIALITY?I am a Deity – my mind is pure and my thoughts instantly manifest. I am the embodiment of Innocence, I am like a child. Everything about me is based upon purity.I am a worship-worthy soul – my intense efforts for self-transformation are a source of inspiration and power throughout the copper and iron ages. My speciality is to be merciful, the bestower. I am a Brahmin – following the elevated instructions of God, helping to bring the new world into existence. I am a humble instrument – Karankaravanhar Baba is getting everything done through me. I am an Angel – I have an attitude of Unlimited disinterest, I have renounced all connection to the old world, old sanskaras, and old relationships. I am Double Light. I am an Incorporeal Soul – my existence is simple and blissful, I am the embodiment of stillness, I am complete and full and blissful

Commentary: I am a deity. I am a golden being living in Paradise. My life is completely balanced and harmonious. I walk this earth gently. My body came into existence through the power of yoga. My body is made up of the purest elements, untainted by any vices. I am immortal, I have conquered death. I simply leave one body and take a new one. I am a ruler of the pure world. My life is easy, joyous. I am 16 celestial degrees complete. I am full of all virtues. I am doubly non-violent. My mind is pure. My heart is pure. I am absolutely content and there is nothing lacking. Only now, in the confluence age do I understand how I become a deity. Let me meditate on this.

5. Worship Worthy FormDrill of the 5 forms: WHAT IS MY OCCUPATION?

I am a worship-worthy soul. Devotees worship my non-living image and find peace, receive blessings, the fulfilment of their desires. Through my idol I give the devotees the fruit of their devotion, the return of their worshipI am a Brahmin, a world benefactor, a selfless server; I bring about world transformation through my self-transformationI am an Angel – my occupation is to be combined with God, giving the message and liberating souls from suffering am an incorporeal soul – immersed in complete silence and stillness, in the company of God, and I radiate peaceI am a deity – my occupation is to rule the pure world, enjoying the reward of my efforts for 21 births

Commentary: I am a worship-worthy soul. I invoke my worship-worthy form, the form in which my devotees are remembering me. I am drawn to a temple, or a place of worship where there is my non-living image, in the form of a statue dedicated to my particular speciality. There are some very powerful devotees here, calling upon me. Let me give them drishti. I enter the stone statue as if it was a body, and I look out through the statue’s eyes, I see my devotees before me, praying to me for blessings in their life. Baba, I don’t fully understand this, but these souls have worshipped me and they must receive the return of that devotion. Let me remember you Baba, and give these souls drishti so that they may attain some experience.

Commentary: Today, BapDada was seeing the children’s specialities. Each child has his own speciality. … Every Brahmin soul definitely has one or another virtue. Even if it is the last bead in the rosary, there is also one or another speciality. This is why Baba’s vision has fallen on that soul. If god’s vision falls on a soul, or if He makes a soul belong to Him, there definitely has to be a speciality. This is why the soul has come in the list of Brahmins. However, souls become numberwise in constantly seeing and recognising each one’s speciality. BapDada knows that a soul may be weak in imbibing the knowledge, in service, or in remembrance, but he has the speciality of recognising Baba, he has the broad intellect of belonging to Baba and the divine vision of seeing Baba. That which famous scholars of today are not able to recognise and not able to understand, is understood by these souls. Therefore, they have become special souls out of millions.So too, although you must fill yourself with all the virtues and all the powers, by having special research into one specific quality, you must make yourself powerful in that.

VT 9 Senior’s Classes

Fly in the plane of your mind Dadi Gulzar 27 February 07 Gyan Sarovar

Baba has given each one of us a plane as a gift. You can travel anywhere you wish in this plane in a second. It is the plane of the mind. Naturally the plane of the mind has to be in good working order. A plane, of course, needs wings. The wings are courage and zeal and enthusiasm. These are the left and right wings of the plane. Without zeal and enthusiasm you can have lots of ideas for service but then waste thoughts come and interfere with those plans.

It is courage that gets tasks accomplished. Check that your wing of courage is strong. Once Baba had a brochure printed and in the brochure was written, “Those who have zeal and enthusiasm and courage don’t ask ‘when’, they say ‘now’!”

So now check that the plane of your mind is clean, plain and ever- ready. The method to start the plane is to move into the awareness of ‘My Baba’. The petrol for the plane is gyan and yoga. One wing of the plane is courage and the other is zeal and enthusiasm. Sit with Baba and do world service. Send powerful rays to the world. Om Shanti -----------------------------------

To be in silence is to merge Dadi Janki - 28.5.07 GCH

Today is Bank Holiday Monday. We used to keep silence on Mondays. Baba says: at the Confluence Age, constantly maintain silence. You can speak - but speak the things that Baba teaches you. What is there to think about? God is now responsible for us. Whatever was Baba’s responsibility is now ours and Baba has taken responsibility for those we were responsible for. Remembrance has made us free and Baba has freed us from remembering everything else. If we speak or think less, we can perform wonders.

There are so many benefits to the self and others by staying in silence. People you are in connection with may be sitting far away but the vibrations of silence will reach them. When people come into sound, they are sometimes understood but sometimes not, due to different cultures, religions, or languages. But the language of silence, of spirituality - God’s language - everyone can understand. To go into silence means: 1) to merge, to go into the essence, and finish things and 2)  when something happens, to merge it, so that it is as if it has gone deep into the ocean and settled and there is no sign of it. You just feel the coolness of the ocean and see the waves on the surface.

Thinking immediately brings words to our lips; the words reach people’s ears and so the sound spreads. Yesterday Baba spoke about attitude - as are your thoughts, so is your attitude and drishti.

Someone said to Dadi: “But if you don’t think, the intellect is not being creative”. Dadi replied, “Show me someone who has a creative intellect like mine!” Brahmins have creative intellects. Baba brings newness to your intellect. New, good things, things that are necessary, come to the intellect and Baba puts them into practice, so there is no need to think whether it will happen or have doubts. If I didn’t have a creative intellect, I wouldn’t be able to have a connection with the Creator. Without a connection with Him, how would I be able to work? If I think, “I have to do carry out this task”, and beat my head, instead of keeping God’s company and following shrimat, nothing will be achieved.

To receive God’s help we need silence and courage. When you put your hand in God’s, your actions become very powerful. If you want to know how to have conversations with God, stop having other unnecessary conversations with yourself and with others, because they will drive you mad! Don’t cheat with Baba. When you go in front of Baba, Baba knows. He gives the response without you even needing to ask the question, so it is not necessary to talk so much.

To be in silence means to experience lightness; the task is happening and Baba makes us fly with him. If there is the slightest sanskar of body consciousness, then how am I going to fly? All I have to do is keep my intellect plain and let Baba take me with him. Mama and Baba have both said: make a plan and keep the intellect plain.

The Power of ConcentrationDadi Janki Harmony House 21-04-2002

From each ones heart there is just one sound – Baba, Sweet Baba, Beloved Baba. Baba has made us His through His sweet vision. When there was love from Baba we made Him belong to us and then when He spoke Such sweet things we knew that there was no one else who could speak such words. This is such a great fortune to have such an opportunity. Look at the family we belong to, and yet we belong to One – detached and lovely. Compared to the world outside, which is full of such sorrow and fear, what we have is love, peace, and happiness.

Each child of God should understand how much benefit there is in each point that Baba gives us. Today Baba spoke about concentration. It is so necessary to stabilize and for the intellect to experience the power in concentration. Once you have had the taste of concentration, and then there is a pull to stabilize in that experience again and again. It then becomes natural and there is no effort to experience that concentration.

With love and peace you have to train the intellect to be experience that concentration. We should hear the lessons that Baba teaches properly. Baba tells us to forget all that was in the past. Even in the present, see and hear only that which Baba is saying and showing. Then the intellect will become divine and the third eye of knowledge will remain open.

Look at yourself and then look at Baba and the feeling are of such happiness. It is the same body and the same soul, but when we look at ourselves in this way? in the way that Baba sees us, then the feelings are so beautiful.

When you are sitting in front of Baba it becomes easy for the intellect to become stable and concentrated. Why is the intellect not able to become concentrated when in the gathering? It is because of the existence of three old defects of the past – confusion, nervousness, and being scared. These three are sitting inside of us and it is these that do not allow us to concentrate.Without concentration we cannot take love and peace from Baba.In order to have concentration we must have the powers to Merge and to Pack-Up in a second. We have the habit of going into so much detail and expansion that we must learn to tell our intellect to be quiet! In one second become the image of the essence. With the powers to merge and to pack-up it becomes easy to make the intellect quite and to be with Baba. Baba has given us the powers so we must learn to use them.

The two qualities of Patience and Humility together with the two powers to Merge and to Pack-Up then allow all the 8 powers and the 12 virtues to emerge and work automatically. Whatever is not

worth doing, even something small, then don’t do it. And that which is worth doing, do it now. Whether others are doing it or not – you must do it.

According to the time we have received signals from Baba of what we need to do. There is no need to think too much, or ask too many questions. That which is worth doing does not need too much thought or questioning. As soon as you think a little extra than is necessary and in the wrong way, the intellect will go in that direction. It will be pulled easily and then it will become a battle to tryand control it again.

There are certain matters that will catch hold of you and trap you, so become aware and then become free from them. You have to protect the intellect from that. When there is the power of concentration then this will help you to remain in a constant stage. Being detached and going beyond will enable us to go even higher.

Baba sits us so close to Him and then helps us to pass with honours – it is so natural and easy! To pass with honours there is the need to have realization. What is it that takes our activities into the class of being ordinary? There are three reasons: Desires, Attachment, and the Influence of Others. Even in terms of the service we do there can be traces of desire, attachment, and Influence and this is why disturbances in service happen. We need very good realization to be able tocheck these things within us. Introversion and realization will bring about transformation.

Baba says, 'Let your intellect be subtle and far-sighted, not gross'. Your intellect should be able to see the three aspects of time. We can become spinners of the discus of self-realisation (swadarshanchakradhari) only if we are those who see the three aspects of time (trikaldarshi).Since we have become members of the Brahmin family, we have been coloured with this company. By understanding our original nature we have become peaceful. But if old sanskaras remain in an incognito form they continue pricking us like a thorn. They cause sorrow to us and others. Then fragrance is not felt. Impure sanskaras make us disturbed and unhappy. Therefore Baba says, Be careful. Be removers of sorrow and bestowers of happiness. Constant attention gradually melts and transforms our old sanskaras. We continue living in the same world and among old relations but we no longer use old sanskaras.

Baba says, Be introverted. Be those who love solitude. Increase the power of concentration. Let your state be stable. Be those with the third eye. Keep all the three aspects of time in front of you. The more detached you are from the old body, nature and sanskaras, the better. Then your state becomes like that of a flame. The storms will be unable to shake it. And then Baba will say that you have become yogis and co-operative ones (saha-yogis). All these steps follow one another. For instance, will you be able to concentrate if there is no introversion?

To be introverted means to remain detached even while talking etc. The question of hearing, listening to, or speaking evil does not even arise. For such a detached soul it is as if evil does not exist! The one who is introverted remains in constant intoxication. His only concern is to makehis state even more stable through the power of concentration. "Mine is one Baba and none else!" And therefore victory is guaranteed. Victory is my birth-right.

If there is one Baba and me, then it is Victory (V). But if someone else comes in between, V changes into W (why). If there is "why" there will also be "hai" (in Hindi - the sound of distress). And then you will cry. Dadi is giving you this mantra: let nothing waste (useless) remains in yourheart. If something waste is still there, go inside and remove it. If you work with yourself superficially you will fail to remove it. The power of realisation brings about the power to transform. Such a soul does not make effort for show.

The power of concentration andintroversion – Gyan Sarovar – 23/10 Dadi Janki

Once you come onto the path of knowledge the stage of ascent starts. Those who are able to increase their power of concentration will be able to progress easily. Without this power, there will not be the ability to remain silent and peaceful. We may have understood the 8 powers, but if there is not the power of concentration, we will not be able to use them! When the intellect is concentrated, the 8 powers co-operate with us. They work on me, with me, easily.

The power of concentration allows you to keep the intellect under order because it puts you in the position of the master. Once you are the master, that's it – the rest is automatic. At the right time, whichever power is needed will emerge in your personality. The path of knowledge requires us to develop a personality filled with knowledge. These 8 powers will allow you to maintain a personality of realty and royalty. Your eyes, words, and interactions should reflect your use of this knowledge. However, this is only possible when you are introverted and free within.

Remain introverted and free within. There is a big connection between being this and having the power of concentration. Introversion is a great virtue which frees you from being a low or an ordinary quality soul. It brings an angelic and divine quality within your character, relationships and in your everyday activity. Introversion frees you from waste.

Inculcate while listening to the Murli Valuing the Murli Full-stop to questions

Om Shanti. Om Shanti. By saying ‘Om Shanti’ the mind becomes active, because whilst listening to Murli sometimes, the mind might go to another world. It is certain that we all have love for Baba. How much love? Our love is deeper than the ocean. We cannot compare the love that we have for Baba with anything else. Nothing exists in this world that can be compared with our love for Baba. We all have love for Baba, so why is it that we forget the One who is loved and lovely?

Why is that One forgotten? This should not happen. OK, you have love for Baba, but Baba then asks one question. Do you have as much love for Baba’s Shrimat, Baba’s Murli? Do you sometimes miss Murli? It happens sometimes whilst listening to Baba’s Murli, that there is the complaint that the mind wanders into yoga or sleep. What is the reason for that? Sometimes the Murli is three pages and then the mind can go into lazy feelings or sleep. So the question is how should I listen to Baba’s Murli? There is also a proper method to listen to Baba’s Murli.

When you think that this Murli is for everyone, that the Murli is general, then the mind might wander. But if I think that ‘This Murli is for me personally. Baba is speaking to me’, then the mind won’t wander. If someone is speaking personally to you, will you go to sleep? It is written in the Mahabharata, in the Gita, that Krishna gave the teachings to Arjuna on the battlefield. In fact, this world is the battlefield and Baba is speaking to me and giving me directions on this battlefield. For example, when Avyakt BapDada comes in Madhuban, He does give the Murli to all of us, but there is that desire that Baba should speak to me personally. Baba is giving us the Murli every day, so is that feeling there that Baba is speaking to me personally?

Inculcate while listening to the MurliThe second dharna to inculcate whilst listening to Murli is to follow the Murli with the intellect. Sometimes Baba talks about Paramdham, sometimes he talks about the cycle and at other times about bhakti. As Baba is giving these points, travel through the mind with Baba and visit these places – Paramdham, the cycle and so on. Whilst listening to Baba’s Murli, one can have that attention on the self to travel with Baba. For example, on Saturday or Sunday, people like to go out. In the same way, have that interest to visit the subtle world and incorporeal world with Baba. The third aspect is that Baba gives directions in the Murli for the whole day. If I am not listening with full attention, how can I follow those directions? Another method to help us listen to Murli is to cultivate the appreciation that Baba is my Teacher. Baba comes from so far away, from Paramdham to teach. Baba comes personally for me. In this way, I give value to the Murli. Baba has come from very far away to teach me.

Valuing the MurliBaba says, ‘Whatever you hear in the Murli remember that when you perform action.’ Do you listen to or read the Murli everyday? What about those who can’t come regularly? What do you do? In the times of Sakar Baba, they travelled by night train from Delhi to Abu and after they arrived, would want to meet Baba. But Baba would say, ‘No first ready the Murli.’ You are Godly students, so which study do students have love for? The Murli. If we look at Baba, as the Father He sustains our life through the Murli. If we look at Baba as the Teacher, He teaches through the Murli. As the Satguru, Baba gives blessings in the Murli. Let there be value for all three levels. Baba as the Father, Teacher, and Satguru. When you are listening to Baba’s Murli, have the awareness that, ‘Baba Himself is talking to me personally.’ There is a difference when you think that Baba is talking to the whole class or to you personally. In the Gita they show how Arjuna was given knowledge on the battlefield – he felt that God was talking to him personally. All of you are Arjuna. Arjuna was in the first stage. When someone talks to you personally, you don’t forget this and your attention is on that one. If the attention is diverted when someone is talking to you, then that one will feel the mind is wandering and there is not the interest to talk to you.

While listening to Baba’s Murli, in order to experience points such as ‘You are a soul, a point of light in Paramdham’ or ‘You are travelling through the cycle’, at that time the intellect should be concentrated on that point. If the intellect is always in Paramdham, you will go to sleep. When we use this method of following points with the intellect while listening to Baba’s Murli then we experience that stage – Paramdham, the world cycle, the tree – and the intellect will not be sleepy. You will enjoy that journey. From today, experiment listening to the Murli in this way and you will really enjoy the Murli.

In the Murli Baba asks many questions, for example, ‘Did you meet Me 5000 years ago?’ Your mind then answers Baba and will enjoy this. Let there always be value and importance for Baba’s Murli.

Secondly, in life, many things happen. Because we come into connection with many people obstacles may come. So if we use Baba’s Murli, blessings, and slogan, the mind will work on that basis and not under the influence of the outside world. Baba’s Murli will help you solve these things instead of being engaged in Maya. Circumstances come and go. The situation may only be for five minutes, but even after the scene in drama has finished the mind still has waste thoughts about that scene. Pay attention to this aspect. We have to divert the direction of the mind and intellect towards Baba’ s blessing and slogan, otherwise we come under the influence of old sanskars or others, and you will not experience Baba’ s power. We have to change waste of the mind and intellect into the best. The best thoughts are Baba’s blessing.

Whenever you have a guilty conscience think about the life Baba has given you. Have thoughts of happiness and attainment. Don’t spend too much time with a guilty conscience. Give the intellect a decision ‘OK, I have realised.’ Put a full-stop. Make sure Maya does not come in the form of a question-mark, a surprise question, or a comma. Do you know how to put a bindi? Is it easier to put a full-stop or a question-mark? In practical, to put a full-stop is difficult. A question-mark is crooked. A bindi is simple.

The habit of 63 births is so strong that instead of putting a full-stop, we put a question-mark. Sometimes it happens in our effort-making life – we get up and sit in yoga for Amrit Vela and in the evening. But there should be attention every hour. Every hour, our attention is to check our quality of thoughts, and then there will be attention from morning till evening. Is there anyone who says, ‘I don’t even have one second to pay attention’? This is the attention. For example, if you are thirsty, no matter how busy you are, you will go and drink water. This is also essential. Whatever you think is important will take place; otherwise there will be carelessness in spiritual life. Baba says to remain alert, not careless. Sometimes the mind will say ‘I am tired, I will do it later.’ Pay attention. There should be no laziness. Only remember one word – attention.

We have to become master of our mindsBrother Nirwair (excerpt from Meditation experiences: Insights of Raj Yoga)

I was fortunate to have a look at Baba’s old diary of 1932, where Baba had written about the conversations with his mind. It is a drama with Baba as the Kind and his mind, the minister. The King speaks, “O Minister, you have been troubling me a lot. I have seen another king whose minister obeys him and doesn’t bother him.” The minister, the mind, replies, “Oh my King! My Lord! All that I do is only to please you.” And the King says, “In the name of pleasing me, you have put me into trouble so many times. I don’t like this anymore. You have to act just like that Minister of the King of Kings. Obey me as he obeys his King…” This was the type of dialogue that took place between the soul and mind, the King and Minister.

We too have to become masters of our own minds; let the mind not wander and cause mischief. As Baba says, “Remember me with all the feelings of your heart”. …. Can the words, with all my heart and soul, be used when we connect with the Supreme? If so, we are then truly meditating and it becomes a continuous, unending meditation. Life should be lived naturally in God’s remembrance. God is a thought away.

Baba asks us to communicate with Him. What do you do when you feel like sharing something with someone close? You telephone or contact them but with Baba all you need to say is, “Hello Baba” and He is with you. How long does it take? God Himself gives us the simple practice of ‘Manmanabhav – Give your mind to Me.’ But the mind is so dear to us that we don’t want to part with it.

Conversations can take place on many levels: through vibrations, words, eye contact and so on. Imagine two young friends spending time with each other; they are enjoying themselves so much they don’t like to leave on another…The same can happen when you meet Baba, the Supreme Father. God is our friend but do we really experience a friendship? How long do we play and talk with our friend? How long are we close to our friend in our dreams? Your mind will be charged to the fullest and filled with powers as long as it is close to Baba. There won’t be any moments of faltering. This natural way of living will make you karmateet, the conqueror of negativity, and the embodiment of positivity. How sweet and lovely it is to be with the Almighty, re-charging the soul-battery…

Harmonize your mind and heart to see the beauty of this meeting; the experience will last forever. They say God is love. You cannot experience this reality by simply speaking the words; dive into the feelings of love.

When you sit in meditation, look into Baba’s eyes. Share the events of the day with Baba; tell Him what you did, how you served, how felt in case you faltered so that a full-stop can be applied. Leave the body and go to Baba in the Subtle Region.

Baba is telling us to do many things. But am I ready to do all these things? Does the intellect say no I cannot do this or do you react in the wrong way in a situation even though you know it is not right? What powers do we need to develop in order to transform our behaviour and our attitudes? Baba often calls these powers controlling power and ruling power. However, the word control also means to suppress so instead of using this word today I will talk about ‘controlling power’ as the power to convince the self. After convincing the self then that inner conviction will help you to rule over the self.

Examples of when we can use the power to convinceWhy do we get angry? What are the merits of anger? We know anger suppressed can then emerge with double speed. So the solution to anger is not suppression. We know we should not get angry. We do not like anger. If someone gets angry with you you do not like it. But when you get angry with others do you like it? If you didn’t like it you wouldn’t do it, would you? So, why do you get angry?

We listen and read spiritual knowledge and this helps us know what is right but it doesn’t give us the power to bring inner transformation. Why do I get angry? I may say that I got angry because of what the other person did to me. The other person did something wrong so in this way we blame others for our anger. For many lives we have been re-inforcing the belief that if someone acts in a

certain way then we should react with anger. Just listening to right understanding about anger however will not change this behaviour.

Baba says that if I get angry I will create a new karmic account. Why did I come into knowledge? It was to clean up the old negative accounts not to create new ones. So after a Brahmin listens to points from the murli he needs to then convince himself, prepare himself for situations that might influence him to act outside Baba’s directions.

How to prepare, rehearse, and convince yourself in advanceWe can do this by talking with ourselves about what to do if someone gets angry with us. We can rehearse our reaction in our mind. We can train ourselves so that we react with peace rather than anger. In this way we can feed a new belief, a new program into the intellect. That is why we say that just listening to or reading spiritual knowledge does not bring change. After listening to spiritual knowledge we have to sit and talk to ourselves and convince ourselves. When you are convinced that that is the right way to act then it will come into action at the right time. So after reading spiritual knowledge we need to think deeply about it and convince ourselves until the points are accepted by the intellect.

When Baba talks about something in the murli then afterwards, when you are revising the murli ask yourself, am I ready to do this? Would I like to do this? Ask what plan you need to make to bring this into reality. Prepare, rehearse, convince yourself in advance, don’t just wait for the situation to come in front of you. If we don’t do this then when the situation comes in front of us the knowledge from the murli won’t influence our reaction. We may know what is right at that time but the intellect isn’t ready, the old program, the old way of thinking still dominates our reaction.

The intellect has the power to handle the situation and the power to understand but the transformation of the attitude of the intellect, the rehearsal of a better way to act and the development of the inner conviction of what is right has to be created in advance. If someone insults me time after time how can I keep quiet? The intellect has been trained for life after life to react with anger. So at the time this happens, although we tell the intellect not to get angry but still the intellect doesn’t accept it.

If I get harassed and insulted then the intellect says I have to respond, I have to do something about this person. I think, if I don’t do something then he will just do it again. You tolerate it once, twice or ten times but then you have to react at least once, just to show him. Is that right? We put our own limits on our capacity to tolerate, we go beyond the limit that we chose and then the intellect reacts. But Baba says we are unlimited we are peaceful, loveful powerful souls so how can I emerge those qualities in this situation?

Can you forgive him for harassing you? How do we change this old way of reacting? If he cannot change then how can you change? Use your power to control, convince yourself, and create the inner conviction within yourself that anger is useless in this situation. But who will convince whom? How will you convince yourself? This is a situation that many Brahmins experience. Even after learning Raj Yoga, 99% of the time most of us still react even though we know it is a defect that needs to be transformed.

So what should we do? We know that even if we don’t get angry still our mood changes and our face changes, our attitude changes. Freedom in our relationships is not there. So what are we to do? Should we say that this anger cannot be changed, it is eternal, and is part of the sanskars of the soul. Baba tells us in the murli that the vices are not eternal; they came in the Iron Age, in the middle of the cycle. They are not our original sanskars.

To help us change that sanskar we need to know our original qualities. We were born pure, we like peace. So to change this what can we do? How can we remove the negative sanskar? We will use a particular soap that will clean it. We also need to know the method to apply it, the technique. How do we apply the soap to clean the black dot, the negative sanskar? How can we clean it?

How do we talk to the intellect? To talk to the intellect we use the mind. After listening to murli, after the mind has received the information, then you sit and let the mind talk to the intellect about the directions in the murli. The mind can convince the intellect by pointing out that this information is from Baba’s murli. When the intellect deeply accepts the new information, a new program can be made in the intellect and that information will change our behaviour.

Let your mind talk to the intellect in this way:‘Baba said today, whatever role the other person plays, you should not get angry. Baba said you should not play your old role. You should not get angry’. The intellect says, ‘I should let go of anger. Baba’s directions are not ordinary He is Almighty. He has all powers and can do anything. If something goes wrong Baba can take care of me and will be responsible for that situation.’

By talking to your intellect in this way and deepening your understanding then the intellect can accept Baba’s knowledge and direction. This then creates will power based on the inner conviction of what is right. Once the intellect is convinced then full faith and determination will come. Otherwise the intellect will go on arguing with you.

Developing accurate and deep knowledge to guide our transformation processWe must have very accurate and deep knowledge to guide our process of transformation. We need to study Baba’s teachings carefully. We need to pay attention, listen, and take notes. Then we need to sit alone and converse with the self. Convince yourself, Baba is telling us to do many things but am I ready to do all these things? If the intellect says, ‘No I cannot do this’, then those versions cannot come into practice.

We need to work through the resistances in the intellect through this inner practice of conversation between mind and intellect. Only after such realization of Baba’s directions will there be a change. Again and again talk to the self. Let the mind ask questions and wait for the intellect to reply and then continue the conversation.

- OK the other person may have done many things wrong but does this mean I am allowed to get angry with him?- What is my aim in this life? - If I react what will happen, will that help me to fulfill my aim?

By carrying on this conversation between the mind and intellect this creates a new training for the intellect. Talk to yourself in order to uncover the deep rooted sanskar that is there. Ask the intellect: Is it possible to change? - If he reacts then what will I do? I will react. - Do I want to come out of the negative cycle or create a new negative cycle of action and reaction? I want to come out of the negative cycle. - Who is telling me this? It is Baba.

- Who is behind me, who is my backbone? Who is my body guard? Who will take care of me? What has Baba said about protecting me?Baba said that Baba and drama will take care of such situations.

We feel insecure but when you have faith that the Almighty is with me then we feel that even if something goes wrong, Baba is responsible. When this faith comes this helps to convince me. Convince your intellect; talk to the intellect, then the feeling of security will come. Then the feeling of wanting to react leaves me and this anger can be controlled.

The power of concentrationWe have both negative and positive sanskars. Negative sanskars are from actions we have done against our will and wish under the influence of the five vices. These are actions against our will. When these sanskars emerge the intellect will not accept them. So negative dreams tell me what negative sanskars are within me. These sanskars could re-emerge tomorrow.

Anger is an old sanskar; the old record is there inside. To re-record anything you have to use two powers of mind and intellect at the same time. Mind to visualize the new habit taking place and also to convince the intellect to let go of the old sanskar. Intellect to realize what is right. Concentration comes when mind and intellect work together in this way.

Linking to Baba in meditation using controlling powerMeditation is not just prayer. If you want to connect to the Supreme we have to climb different steps. You can use a system. You can meditate but you need to realize with whom you are meditating. You have to tune in to the correct frequency? We want to connect in the right way by systematically bringing the mind and intellect into co-operation and agreement. Let the mind ask the questions and the intellect answer. So the mind asks: Who am I?Intellect answers – any answer – no this is the name of the body- Who am I?I am a soul – yes- So what are my qualities?Peace and love yes….. Anger is not my quality, these are adopted qualities. Positive qualities are innate qualities.- If I have these subtle qualities, what am I doing here in this gross world?I am using this body, driving this body.- Where did I come from?I came from above.- Above the subtle world there is what?Soul world

Keep unity and co-operation between mind and intellectBy developing a conversation between mind and intellect, then you can have full concentration and keep your mind on the Supreme. Otherwise what is in your mind will go like this. Mind says: Baba you are sweet lovely…Intellect says: Oh I have to make a phone call….

So, instead of just thinking about Baba, activate the mind and intellect by asking questions. Activate your consciousness in this way, systematically. Talk slowly and systematically about what can be done. Re-emerge the awareness that this is my original quality. Then you will find that when your

mind and intellect are concentrated we can start to use the eye of the intellect to see and experience our own inner qualities and Baba’s qualities. But before we can move onto the next stage of yoga we need to first activate our consciousness using mind and intellect and then it is easy to focus using the eye of the intellect and connect to the Supreme.

First separate yourself from body consciousness by developing soul consciousness through these questions. Otherwise, if other thoughts are coming you cannot detach from them and you cannot move into deeper stages of yoga. Use the power to control not only during sitting meditation but use it throughout the day and then your yoga power will increase greatly.

For getting a really powerful experience in yoga, you need to develop the quality of your yoga, volcanic stage of yoga, a really powerful stage. For this we have to have full focus of the eye of the intellect, concentration only on Baba. Not a single percent must be distracted. Then only can we experience the powerful stage of yoga. This requires practice.

Intellect visualizes and judges. For the power of concentration you focus your eye on a particular object. Just focus the eye of the intellect on Baba, and then you will experience Baba’s powers and virtues. Your eye was on Baba and then your intellect went away from Baba. As much as the checking and changing increases so your power of concentration will increase. You can watch your intellect, catch it, and then put it on Baba. If you would like to improve this then sit in solitude and watch your intellect and mind properly. Give direction to the intellect to focus on Baba for as long as possible. If sometimes it goes elsewhere then check and change.

In the future there will be many subtle attacks of Maya on the intellect. Maya first attacks the intellect because it is the communication through which we receive power. That is why Maya attacks this. If you want to keep mind and intellect free from Maya all day, keep on wearing the armour of intoxication throughout the day. When you are intoxicated with Baba your mind and intellect will become free from Maya’s influence.

By developing great self respect you can develop will power. Until I give respect to myself others will not give respect to me. On that basis I will have a very good stage of intoxication and then others will give respect. The secret of developing will power is developing self respect. We are trying to develop it but we can’t sustain it. Why? The secret is that although on one hand we were king of kings but also we were the slave of Maya for 2,500 years. So we lost our self-respect. We must think of how we were in the Golden Age and Silver Age, not our state in the Copper Age and Iron Age.

As much as the eye of the intellect is on Baba then you become powerful and intoxicated. For a volcanic stage of yoga you need to have concentration power. Concentration power acts as a lens for the power of yoga. Paper in sunlight will not burn. But with the use of a magnifying lens the rays of the sun become concentrated like a laser beam. This creates a fire that burns. So we receive the rays of the sun of knowledge Baba. The rays pass through the lens of the intellect and then they are focussed and burn the old sanskaras. For this to take place we need to have 100% concentration power.

In the process of yoga we must keep on fixing the eye of the intellect on Baba. To have good concentration we need both self and God realization, deep soul conscious and deep God conscious stage. Who am I, what is my true nature? I am the living star on this earth, a shining, radiant, and wonderful stage, radiating the light of spirituality into the atmosphere. Fix the eye of the intellect on yourself as a point of light, a very special point selected by God. Experience peace, bliss, love, and purity and enjoy that. Experience the wonderful aura of divine light all around you. Maintain and sustain this real and royal consciousness of the soul. This is the foundation of your Brahmin life. This foundation must be deep and strong.

Next fix the eye of the intellect on Baba. See Baba as a point of light in Paramdham. I am a super star and Baba is a supreme star. Baba has seven oceans of qualities peace, bliss, happiness, knowledge, might, purity, love… Baba is a tremendous source of spiritual energy. As the spiritual sun Baba is radiating throughout the three worlds. Fix your eye on Baba’s form, the most beautiful being in these three worlds.

All souls have the black spots of impurity because of vices but Baba is the most beautiful being in this world. Satyam, ever truthful, Shiva, ever benefactor, Sunder am, every beautiful. Enjoy his beauty and experience his form. Sit close to Baba in Paramdham and enjoy his company. While there focus the eye of the intellect on Baba and keep on experiencing the spiritual powers and experience the powerful stage.

The mind must be calm and cool and light. Then the mind can work in yoga. Don’t allow any burden in your mind. The intellect needs to be active, alert, and fresh. The eye of the intellect directs and focuses our attention and mind thinks thoughts. The eye of the intellect visualizes Baba then the mind will be busy with Baba. Sit in the peace palace and enjoy Baba’s company. As much as the love in your heart overflows with Godly love then you can experience oneness, being deeply lost in that ocean. That loveful stage easily develops into a powerful stage. You are combined with the ocean of powers. Love is like a magnetic power so although Baba is far away you experience that Baba is in front and combined with you. You can experience Baba as the light of your eye. This is the highest fortune in this world.

Experiencing the fire of yogaFirstly, fiery means very powerful and very deep soul conscious stage. I am Master Almighty. This experience of the powerful stage is very deep. I am radiating all powers from the soul.

Secondly, fiery means the experience of the fiery form of God conscious stage. God is the supreme authority but just by saying Baba we make him ordinary. Arjuna experienced that God’s power is like a 1000 suns. For this we must go into the experience and realization of the powerful form of Baba.

Thirdly, the fire of yoga is when we focus our love on only one Baba. Full love is the experience of full concentration on Baba. The degree of love determines the quality of yoga we are experiencing.

Fourthly, the experience of meeting with God comes when the mind is full of intoxication, then the meeting is a wonderful and powerful meeting. With happiness the power of concentration increases. Then you will experience Baba as the unlimited source of spiritual energy and that you are receiving tremendous powers from Baba. You will experience the powerful fire of yoga and your sins will burn and you will become free of the stress of the vices.

“Experiencing the Five Forms using the Divine Eye”

An easy way of developing your experience of the five forms is to develop the powers of the divine intellect and divine eye. We can use the divine intellect to travel through the three stages of meditation corporeal, subtle and soul worlds. These worlds are experienced as different stages of meditation. The divine eye enables us to have visions of our future deity and worship worthy forms.

Baba usually talks about the divine eye and the divine intellect. The divine intellect works like an aeroplane but the divine eye works like a telescope. Many times Baba tells us that it is just as if you can see far-away scenes close to you. It is similar to watching through television. Through the divine eye that Baba has given us, we can really go back to our past, see our present more clearly, and go into our future.

Using the divine intellect we fly and have the experience of being light and might. But the divine eye Baba says is my microscope, my telescope and my television to the past, present and future. Most of us do not have the gift of divine vision. However, I think that sometimes the gift of the divine intellect and divine eye is more powerful. The divine eye and divine intellect we use through our own effort. Because you make effort to use it, the reward remains with you.

Experiencing the Deity Form and Worship Worthy Form through the Divine EyeWe can experience our deity form and our worship worthy form through the Divine Eye. Mama who never experienced trance was able to give details of the pictures of Lakshmi and Narayan in the Golden Age because of her clarity. To experience the reality of our future forms the soul can go into trance, or use the clarity of divine vision or the divine eye, to experience the future. Baba has given us so many experiences and descriptions of our future. We can have the experience even without knowing the descriptions in depth, or having read them or absorbed them from the murli in depth. We have enough and certainly, in the very pure state, if the soul begins to contemplate the future and is patient, then immediately those images come. Moreover, if the soul is able to have trust in itself then the divine vision can be perfectly clear. It is not as immediate or as powerful as the experience through trance, but it is certainly as clear.

We can ‘see’ through the divine eye what we are going to become. Because we are not using the gift of the divine eye frequently, we feel that that gap of lack of experience is still there. Whereas with divine vision, Baba has the key and He pulls the string of the intellect of whichever souls He wants to give a vision. Therefore, because divine vision is not through the effort of the soul the reward is not ever lasting.

If we can’t go into trance, instead, if we use this gift of the divine eye we will have a clear vision of our future in front of us. The future becomes as clear as our present. Then it becomes easy for us to renounce this world easily. Based on the knowledge that Baba has given, I can ‘view’ the past, present, or future. I can go and experience myself as I was, am, and will be. However, many of us don’t use that divine eye to go back through the experience of our 5000 year cycle. That is why disinterest is not completely created, and we are not sure about our future.

Baba says that our future becomes clearer the more we use our divine eye. Just as the present is clear to me, in the same way the angelic form can come in front of us. It is just as if you leave this costume and enter into the angelic costume. That becomes possible if I use my divine eye more and more. When I visualize that form, as Baba tells us, through the eye of my intellect, then I can see myself in that form. Then it becomes natural for me to get out of this body and enter that subtle form. Then, as the subtle form becomes clear, my future deity form, and my worship worthy form also becomes clear.
