3. (1) These Regulations shall apply to:

cancellation within 2 days prior to the programme, 50% refund for cancellation between 3 – 6 days and full refund for cancellation 7 days prior

Guidelines for Prospective registered Electrical Energy Manager (Suruhanjaya Tenaga - Energy Commission) Qualification requirements:

1. Warganegara Malaysia yang berumur 23 tahun ke atas; dan 2. Memegang surat perakuan pendaftaran sebagai seorang

Jurutera Profesional di bawah Akta Pendaftaran Jurutera 1967 [Akta 138] dan mempunyai sekurang-kurangya enam bulan pengalaman kerja dalam pengurusan tenaga elektrik dengan cekap di sesuatu pepasangan; atau

3. Memegang *ijazah dalam Sains, Kejuruteraan, Seni Bina atau yang setaraf dengannya dan mempunyai sekurang-kurangnya satu tahun pengalaman kerja dalam pengurusan tenaga elektrik dengan cekap di sesuatu pepasangan; atau

4. Memegang suatu Perakuan Kekompetenan yang dikeluarkan oleh Suruhanjaya sebagai seorang Jurutera Perkhidmatan Elektrik atau Jurutera Elektrik Kompeten dan mempunyai sekurang-kurangnya sembilan bulan pengalaman kerja dalam pengurusan tenaga elektrik dengan cekap di sesuatu pepasangan; dan

5. Menunjukkan pengetahuan mengenai kehendak akta dan peraturan-peraturan yang memenuhi keperluan Suruhanjaya Tenaga

Evaluation The evaluation will consist of a 2-hour written examination after the completion of the lectures sessions. A compulsory project paper will have to be completed within two months after the completion of the course.

Trainer

Ir. Harapajan Singh graduated from University of Nottingham United Kingdom in Master of Engineering with Distinction. He also obtained a Diploma in Engineering with First Class (Electrical) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur and Certificate in Engineering (Electrical) from Polytechnic Ungku Omar, Ipoh. He was the Technical Lecturer and Head of Electrical Power Unit, with Department of Electrical Engineering at Polytechnic Seberang Perai and later joined a college in Seberang Perai as the Principal. Currently, Ir. H.Singh is a lecturer of a higher learning institution in Penang. He also lectures on a part time basis on Electrical Technology & Power Electronic at Universiti Sains Malaysia. Ir. H.Singh has conducted numerous training and development programmes related to electrical chargeman for companies like Petronas Fertilizer, Perlis Power Plant, Malaysia Airports Bhd and so forth. He has also been a trainer with the FMM since 1996 in all areas related to Electrical Chargeman AO/A4/BO. Ir. H.Singh is also a Registered Electrical Energy Manager with Energy Commission Malaysia and is the main trainer for FMM Certificate in Energy Management Program.

Dr. Shanker Kumar currently is a Senior Lecturer and Head of Water Resources Engineering and Management Research Centre in a higher learning institution in Penang. He obtained his PhD from USM. Dr. Shanker has published more than 60 refereed research papers in Internal Journals, Conference Proceedings, seminars, etc. He has conducted various research projects on alternative energy, green energy and bio energy under the funding of Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE). Dr. Shanker research findings on biogas as an alternative energy has won him various National and International awards.
