  • Description:-

FM means variation in the frequency of the carrier according to the amplitude of the message signal. The FM can be done by simply multiplying he message signal with carrier .At the demodulation again carrier will be multipliedwith the modulated signal. In frequency modulation the instantaneous frequency is linearly proportional to the magnitude of the modulating wave. Louder tones with AM mean greater changes in amplitude. Louder tones with FM mean greater changes in frequency.

  • Tasks:-1. Generate the waveform message signal. (Sinusoidal, square

    or triangular) code diagram

  • 2. Generate a sinusoidal waveform as carrier which should be of much higher frequency as compared to the message signal.

    code diagram

  • 3. Modulate the message and again observe its spectral components.

    code diagram

  • 4. Demodulate the message signal and again observe its spectral components.

    code diagram

Note:-Briefly explain your understanding of FM with its mathematical theory. Perform both Frequency modulation and demodulation and observe their spectral components. After demodulations observe that the signal is re-translated to original spectral components. The report should contain the block diagram of the system with both time domain and frequency domain plots.
