During the 1970s, there was a very big

response to the Gospel in the Teleomin

region as pioneering missionaries and

evangelists went to isolated communities. At

Duranmin, they established a B ible college

to train pastors rom surrounding remote

areas. Its still unctioning today.

The cost o sending out all o those

missionaries and evangelists over 30 years

ago, aboard MAF aircrat as well as on oot,

was raised by the sale o ood in stores

owned by the mission and church in

Teleomin town itsel.

All the goods these pioneers needed

including imported rice were own to

them by our planes. Now rice grown locally

is being own in the opposite direction

back to Teleomin. And cash rom its sale will

return to Duranmin. However, the project

still relies on MAF planes.
