STUDENT TYPE

Also enrolled in a brick-and-mortar school and recognized as a public, private, or charter school student by the Florida Department of Education.

Officially registered as a home education student through his/her district school office and recognized as a homeschool student by the Florida Department of Education.

Enrolled in FLVS Full Time, which is recognized as a public school by the Florida Department of Education.

PARTIAL VS. FULL COURSE

LOAD

Student takes one or more courses with FLVS Flex to supplement courses at his/her brick-and-mortar school.

Student takes one or more courses with FLVS Flex to supplement his/her home education plan.

Student takes all required courses for graduation with FLVS Full Time, which is considered the student’s school of record.

DIPLOMA

FLVS Flex does not issue diplomas. Diplomas not issued, however, home education parents are provided assignments and coursework documentation for the student’s portfolio.

Students in FLVS Full Time who meet graduation requirements earn a State of Florida diploma.

TRANSCRIPTSSchool counselors from the student’s school of record manage the transcript.

Parents/guardians manage the student’s portfolio. FLVS Full Time school counselors manage the student’s transcript and issue official report cards.
