Young passionate musician, Fauna Buvat begins the flute alongside Franck Edouard, at the Mâcon conservatory. She continued her studies at CRR de Lyon, in the class of Frédéric Berteletti and then in the class of Jean-Marc Boissière at CRR d'Aix en Provence. Since 2015, Fauna has been a student at the CNSM de Lyon in the classes of Julien Beaudiment, Emmanuelle Reville and Gilles Cottin.

Music is the strongest driving force in her life, and recent opportunities of freelancing, amongst numerous orchestras in France (orchestre de l’Opéra de Lyon, l’Orchestre National de Lyon, l’Orchestre Victor Hugo de Besançon, l’Opéra de Montpellier), have once again confirmed and strengthened her passion for orchestral work. She also participated in the Master Music Course of Japan academy and in the Mediterranean youth orchestre. Chamber music holds a special place in her musical journey: for instanceI, had the chance to put together Pierrot Lunaire by Schöenberg, the entire of the Mozart quartets, various sonatas for flute and piano, as well as wind quintet repertoire. Encounters with dancers at the Conservatoire National Supérieur of Lyon, have allowed her to work alongside dancers, exploring the field of the human body and of improvisation, fields which are not really explored as part of the traditional curriculum in French conservatories. Taking part in several residency workshops based on and around the subject of improvisation and also posture, have opened for Fauna new areas of reflection and sensation. Finally, being someone who is very sensitive to transmission and communication, she teaches her instrument at the Tassin Music School.
