Major Iron Ore Program, Western AustraliaThe Fluor-led joint venture has been providing program management, EPCM services, and study services for the multi-project program in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The program continues to provide incremental growth in the production to meet the growing demand for this essential commodity.
Major Liquefied Natural Gas Project, Gladstone, QueenslandFluor previously completed front-end engineering design for the upstream facilities and is currently engaged as the engineering, procurement and construction management contractor for facilities associated with the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project. The project will be one of the world’s largest converting coal-seam gas to LNG. When complete, production of three to four million tons of LNG per year is expected.

Heavy Haul Iron Ore Railway, Pilbara, Western AustraliaSince 1968, Fluor Industrial Services has maintained, upgraded, and installed Pilbara Iron’s heavy tonnage railway system; the largest privately owned rail infrastructure in Australia. The rail system comprises of more than 1,200km of track crossing the iron ore rich Pilbara region of Western Australia. To date, this is Fluor’s longest serving contract.

Jack Hills Expansion Project, Western AustraliaFluor is providing feasibility study services for the Jack Hills Expansion Project located in the mid-west region of Western Australia. The scope of the feasibility study includes all facilities for power generation, water supply, mining, ore beneficiation, stockpiling, infrastructure, and rail loading with associated services. The feasibility study will seek to demonstrate that the project is technically, operationally and commercially viable. The process plant facilities will handle 61 Mt/a of feed ore to produce a magnetite iron ore concentrate.
Fluor’s objective is Zero incidents.
