Literacy This week we are reading the story of The Gruffalo Watch the author read the story here: The Gruffalo Story The Gruffalo has some favourite food, owl ice cream, scrabbled snake, roasted fox. What is your favourite food? I like Gruffalo crumble with slug ice cream! Can you try and write your favourite food? Phonics We are focusing on these sounds again this week: j w z Write the letters on pieces of paper and place on the floor. You can jump on them and say the sounds, drive cars on them or splat them with a flipper. Keep them for the week. An additional resource has been added to support your fantastic jobs at home. This week we are reading the story of The Gruffalo

The Gruffalo has some favourite food, owl ice cream, scrabbled snake, roasted fox. What is your favourite food?

Understanding of the World

Do you have a freezer? If so can you get an empty yoghurt pots, butter containers or ice containers. Fill it with some water. Freeze as many as you can and we will be experimenting! You can put a small object inside, a penny, a toy (plastic) and then freeze it overnight. Wait for tomorrow to see what will happen!

Can you make a Gruffalo. Can you remember what colours you need? His orange eyes, purple prickles, poisonous wart, turned out toes, knees? You can use clothes, sticks, junk modelling. Get creative no need to buy anything. Here are some ideas
