in their learning. A great way for children to develop independence is to ask them to prepare and pack their own lunch the night before school. Remember we strive to be a nude food school!

Volunteer Morning Tea Wednesday 5th December

If you have helped around the school or at school events, we invite you to attend a morning tea at 11:00am this Wednesday. Invitations have been sent home, but if for some reason, yours has not arrived please come along anyway. We are extremely grateful to our School Council Members, PFG members, working bee helpers, classroom reading assistants, The Men’s Shed, CFA, Landcare and many more groups and individuals. We still have a vacancy on the School Council for 2019. Please consider how you can assist to make our school an even better place.

1. This is the third biggest city in Victoria. 2. The name of this city means, ‘elbow place’ in the Aboriginal language. 3. A gold rush started in this city in 1851. 4. The Eureka Stockade/Rebellion happened here in 1854 where 30 miners

where killed. 5. This city is on the banks of Lake Wendouree. 6. The TV Show Dr Blake Mysteries was filmed here.

Research in books and the internet and be ready to be called upon at assembly with your answer. Good luck!

Letters for Santa welcome!

Father Christmas does like to talk to

children, not just hand out lollies. We also

hit the siren as the kids love to hear it!

The Firies and community members love

this ‘run’ and get as much happiness out of

it as the children do. We also believe this

helps our kids to realise that we don’t just

fight fires– we also help Father Christmas

by giving the reindeers a rest!
