Our goal is to create leagues that have 18-28 teams each.
The process starts when you complete the FTC registration process in the FIRST Team Information Management System (TIMS) website (registration starts here):
http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/ftc/registration
We will use is your team location information added to TIMS to determine what is closest league to your locations.
The League leaders receive a weekly email from me with new team contact information and they will send emails to all teams assigned to their league.
Our goal is to finalize the league structure once we have 125+ teams registered and no later than September 25, 2015.
Each league will organize enough league meets to allow each team in the league to attend 2 league meets and a league championship.
All leagues with more than 20 teams are encouraged to host two league championships.
The FIRST team registration process has changed this year.
I no longer have access to teams that have not completed the registration process. Therefore, I do not see teams that have started but not completed the registration process.
Three most common reasons the registration process is not complete:
1. $275 registration fee is not paid
2. All teams must have two adult coaches/mentors (Main Contact and Alternate Contact)
3. The adult coaches/mentors must complete and pass the background check process
March 9-11, 2016 – South Super-Regional in San Antonio, TX
February 6 or 13, 2016 – Florida State Championship
January 17, 2016 – Most likely that final date for league championships that will impact the state ranking.
Judge Video Submission – December 5, 2015 Teams must submit a judge video to qualify for the state championship.
League Meets – November 7, 2015 – December 31, 2015.
League Practice Dates – October, 2015 All leagues are encouraged to have a practice event to ensure volunteers and teams are prepared for the season with the new electronics platform.
The best way to say thank you to the volunteers is to always demonstrate
Gracious Professionalism

Many paths get you to the same place www.flfirst.org

Teams are not added until teams are registered with US FIRST.
Once a week, usually Sundays, the Florida FTC Affiliate Partner (Hans Wolf) downloads the Florida FTC teams from the US FIRST database
Teams are assigned an initial league and the team spreadsheet is provided to the Webmaster (Kyle Hoyt).
The Webmaster uploads the teams to the website. Usually Sunday or Monday.
When the teams are uploaded to the Website, an e-mail is sent to the Main and Alternate Contact
If you don’t receive the e-mail, send an inquiry to [email protected] .
A copy of the Passcode is sent to the Webmaster.
There is not a link to resend the passcode. The passcode is stored with one way encryption and can’t be decrypted without trial and error.
A copy of the passcode e-mail is also sent to the Webmaster and can usually tell you what it is if you lose it or did not receive it.
It is better to not lose it, the Webmaster may not respond quickly.
Setting your own passcode: http://ftc.flfirst.org/Registration_System/team_selected_passcode_form.php
Disadvantage – Webmaster cannot recover.
DON’T WAIT UNIL THE LAST MINUTE
http://ftc.flfirst.org/Registration_System/event_registration_form.php
Or from the website Season->Event Registration
Look at
me, I’m a
cool kid!
Click on the link to the Event Registration Page
Note, the website is slowly being adjusted, so the path may change during the season. When it does, it should be obvious (hopefully)
Select Event, Team, and fill out form
Time Slots are used if a league wants to use the site for scheduling interview/judge time
Once registered, the e-mail given in the form (NOT the primary/secondary contacts) will be e-mailed a confirmation.
If you did not receive the confirmation, either your Internet Provider rejected it or, commonly, you typed it wrong. You don’t have to receive the confirmation. Check the event, via the search form, to confirm that you are registered.
Click on the link to the Search Event Registration System

Select the event of interest and submit
Teams are prioritized by being In League and then earliest time of registration
League Directors can make adjustments as to who will/will not attend.
This will be done via direct communication with the teams involved, not via the website.
If you register for the wrong event, contact [email protected].
If you are canceling from an event, your team cannot be removed until confirmation from the League Director.
Do Not No Show an Event, Registration means you are committing to attend the event.
Pay attention to communication from the League Directors as for when Events will be posted
Monitor the Website
Register Early, but… It is a commitment to attend.
Late Cancelation/No Show can result in not being eligible to participate in future events.
Passcode/Registrations issues, contact [email protected].
