An Evening in the Renaissance

An Evening in the RenaissanceA very fun and amazing performance adapted from a glorious “Mandragola” the Renaissance masterpieces by Niccolò Machiavelli.

The hilarious tale of the smitten Callimaco who desires to sleep with Lucrezia, the beautiful young wife of the rich and dumb lawyer Nicia. He pretends to be a doctor who has devised a magic potion which will make the heretofore childless Lucrezia conceive.

But the catch is that the first man who sleeps with her, after she takes the potion, will die.

The resulting twist and turns lead on to nonstop high spirits and hilarity.

The performances will set at Villa Le Piazzole, for centuries the residence of noble families.

A magnificent and authentic ancient mansion

During the performance the audience will discover the rare beauty of the Villa, the formal Italian garden, the perfectly restored chapel, frescoes and the medieval cellar.

The Villa is in close proximity of the city center, in the unspoiled nature of the Tuscan hills, immersed in vineyards and olive groves.

A unique Experience between theatre and cuisine

As the Medici did in the XVI century, we combine the fun to see a one of kind performance and the pleasure of tasting the finest Tuscan food, in a dinner served throughout the performance by waiters in Renaissance costumes.
