The grid layout for this double page spread is 8X8

The image is in 16 grid units. This suggests that the designer wanted to make the image dominate a large majority of the page to show the artist ‘Florence’ as important and significant. The image suggests that artist is important from the way she is posing seductively on a prop. Her clothing suggests that she is making a stand as the colour black is bold. The prop she is posing on is white and red, showing both different colours which connote different things. For example red is seductive and white is pure. This shows that both colours can clash but show a different new meaning.

Behind the image is the country name ‘USA’. An image and text is in the same grid units showing that this grid layout is complex. The lettering is in silver but it does not overpower the music artist.

This is a quote or a form of anchorage which suggests that other elements have been used to enhance this story. ‘Got the love’ is a song from this music artist which can be linked to the ‘USA’ in the background of the image. This shows that this is important for the artist and a crucial time in her career. The text for this is in a more feminine type of font which can link to the seductive image.

The text is in smaller font which and suggests that the interview would be descriptive and formal.
