Welcome everyone to E&D Litis Stadium.

Special welcome to ECU Joondalup SC President Mr Mark Donnelly, First team coach Kenny Lowe,committee members, coaches, assistants, players, supporters and sponsors from both clubs.

The Junior season is at the halfway point and that alone is an achievement in season covid.

Covid 19 has left its impact on our much beloved club however as a community and FAFC family, we are pulling through to make sure this season will not fail. We, the Athena family, will continue to ensure that our kids will receive all the support required to enjoy the world game at their ground.

I thank our volunteers who generously give their time to enthusiastically support our club. It is with their tireless efforts that our club can continue to function and thrive.

Firstly I would like to say that it’s an absolute honour to take the position of head coach at Floreat Athena. I first arrived at the club as a player in 2002 and have been involved in some capacity for almost 20 years now. Floreat Athena certainly holds a special place in my heart. We have also brought on the highly experienced Mirko Jelicic, who is curently employed by the Uzbekistan National team, to assist us while he is back in Australia. I would like to welcome the players, sponsors, supporters and officials of ECU Joondalup to E & D Litis Stadium for round 6 of the league season. Last weeks loss to Gwelup was the first of the season and was extremely disap pointing. We know we are capable of performing at a much higher level and will look to make amends this week against a tough ECU Joondalup. Finally I would like to thank the Club, volunteers, sponsors, and fans for their ongoing support this year, hopefully we can repay them with the 3 points today..

Firstly We would like to welcome ECU Joondalup SC to E&D Litis Stadium. We would also like to take the opportunity to welcome the Athena faithful who have been fantastic in their support. The under 20s boys are looking forward to the clash today having come off a successful away trip last week. Since the restart I have been pleased with the squads focus and application each week and the expectations we have put on ourselves as a collective. I have a sense of pride in the standards we have set so far but we must now look forward to building on those each week and creating an identity. This was something I have been determined to do and I’m pleased to say is shared by the support staff and players. We know today will be a thrilling contest and we hope is enjoyed.
